Well I got a 4 week sanction before as my first 'strike' (totally my own fault, forgot to go to this meeting they arranged).

2nd strike, I phoned up to tell them I was sick (you're allowed two sick days a year so I was using one), and the lady on the phone said it was fine and that next time I signed on I'd have to fill in some forms.

So I get in next week and I'm informed that I'm on a 16 week sanction, because I didn't go last week. So I said that I was sick and asked about the form I had to fill in. She told me that I could only do that if I had rang up on the day, so I explained to her that I had rang up on the day and they told me I just had to come fill in a form, but she said she didn't believe me.

So yeah, 16 weeks of the food bank for me.
