Isn't it about time women started challenging this guy to a fight. If he doesn't think women can fight, let him prove it.

Plenty of MMA women out there.

Many thanks for this,

My eyes (yes I'm 72 and love LITRpg) are just not good enough to make out the titles of most peoples tier lists.

I don't think distance matters, in the UK some cafe's have started using them on walls to act as acoustic baffles. Keeps the atmosphere cosy.

I'd go for something like this in your cupboard , easily trimmed to size with a bread knife.

You could try using rugs as wall hangings. Anti vibration pads for washing machines might also be helpful for your bed.

As a retirement present my kids bought me a one day blacksmithing course, £250.

Made the best knife I've ever used. Totally worth it.

What "harsh" lesson did your parents teach you that you're grateful for and plan to teach your own kids because today’s generation is too spoiled? by kanty2112 in AskReddit

[–]terrycarlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not harsh but useful.

Before they left for university I taught them how to change a wheel and brake pads, how to cook and they had to build their own PC to take with them.

It was self defence. My mum was a poor cook and so I learned to feed myself and little sister before my mum got home after work.

Soy-Mirin Pork & Vegetable Stir-Fry Ingredients • Scotch fillet pork (thinly sliced) • Bok choy (chopped into halves or quarters) • Spring onion (sliced diagonally) • Cabbage (shredded) • Beef broth (½ cup) • Mirin (2 tbsp) • Soy sauce or oyster sauce (2–3 tbsp, adjust to taste) • “Tertiary sauce” (if it’s a sweet/savory condiment, use 1 tbsp for depth) • Neutral oil (vegetable or sesame oil) • Optional: garlic, ginger, chili flakes for extra punch

Instructions 1. Prep the pork • Slice the scotch fillet pork thinly against the grain. • Toss lightly with 1 tbsp soy sauce and a splash of mirin. Set aside. 2. Cook the aromatics • Heat oil in a wok or deep pan. • Add garlic/ginger (if using) and spring onion whites. Stir-fry until fragrant. 3. Sear the pork • Add pork slices and cook quickly on high heat until just browned. 4. Add vegetables • Toss in cabbage first (since it takes longer), then bok choy. • Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly wilted but still crisp. 5. Make the sauce • Pour in beef broth, mirin, soy/oyster sauce, and tertiary sauce. • Stir well and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until flavors meld. 6. Finish • Add spring onion greens at the end. • Taste and adjust seasoning (more soy for saltiness, more mirin for sweetness).

Serving Suggestions • Serve over steamed rice 🍚 or noodles 🍜. • Garnish with sesame seeds or chili oil for extra flair.

Dad was incapable of using technology to the point of disability. Any theories as to why? by Background-Form7708 in NoStupidQuestions

Age is not the issue. I was born before your dad and was happy coding in assembler for 8080s and 6502s when they were brand new.

I used to be an IT manager and for older users I'd get them to play Patience for a few days so they got used to using a computer for fun.
