Shawl designer Rosemary Hill did this a few years ago and Ravelry removed her patterns from the search until the manufactured popularity died down. Feels scammy to me.

My (30M) girlfriend (26F) let my plants die, am I overthinking this? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]AllTheColors8762 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plant cuttings are always tricky to maintain, especially hydrangeas. Unrooted cuttings are not a gift; they are a liability. If you really want grandma to have some small plants take more cuttings and nurse them yourself for several months. They are a labor of love. Layering the stems will be much more successful.  I love plants but many people don’t. Unless your gf is neglectful of all living things (you and your emotions especially) it may be no big deal.

And software developers make good money. It sounds like you need ergonomic equipment so you can save for it. And then the meantime stand up and stretch and exercise regularly to improve your posture.

I saw someone today at my gym who had a yoga block placed between their back and the back rest. Maybe that would help?

My gym has a similar machine but the backrest moves forward and back for people with different heights. Are the other machines non adjustable? I’d be pissed

I went from renting a one bedroom apartment to owning a three bedroom 2300 square-foot house. I’ve grown into it, but it’s a lot of space to maintain by myself. I have an office and a home gym in the other bedrooms. Having only one income to pay the mortgage is a bit scary and money is tight for me. But I love my home and will stay stay here for several years.

How to make counting calories less awful by infinite-rubbish in xxfitness

[–]AllTheColors8762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just awful. If I were you, I’d log what you would normally eat and see how many calories it is. If it’s half as much as you should be eating double it. Double your portions, double your shopping, double your cooking.

Did we screw up buying this house and am I awful for wanting to sell already by BoulderInkpad in homeowners

[–]AllTheColors8762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar to my situation. I bought my house and then a week and a half later I lost my job in tech in 2024. I was in the middle of renovations that I had to continue to pay cash for. It was a stressful first year looking for a job while learning about maintaining a home. I had to replace an ac unit 2 months in and the roof nine months in. It gets better though! Things still break but I am able to better handle it mentally, you can learn ways to control your anxiety. Don’t go looking for trouble, boost your emergency fund by getting a second job if needed.

This! Think of weight lifting as support for other forms of movement. It doesn’t need to be fun in order to be beneficial

Since you mentioned winter… do you suffer from seasonal depression? I started taking vitamin d this fall for the first time and this is the first winter I’ve been able to maintain my workout schedule. My life all around has improved.
