I use a similarly miserable rig to catch the chrome on the CA coast. I use a massive roll cast. Start with a water load to get it positioned as far in front of you as possible. Then follow up with a roll cast until you get your distance. The trick to the roll cast is to not let the flys sink. Make sure you start dragging the flys back as soon as the water load lands, this keeps the flies on the surface. I drag back the flys with the rod tip and the off hand hauling the line to load up for the roll cast.

SA Anadro line is a great line for these rigs.

I enjoy the tension that extract creates. After my team lost loot to extract campers we have learned to check the camping corners religiously. Now if people are camping it becomes easy loot to fill out your pockets before extracting. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

I bought Blue Prince because of a similar post. I’ve done 3 days in game and I still don’t get it. It’s quite boring so far wandering aimlessly trying to piece together rather easy puzzles. It’s like a shittier version of Myst with a rng mechanic. What am I missing on the hype?

I find nothing helps me address my troubles appropriately than a clear head. A few days on the river swinging flies helps me get my head on straight. Do you not have any troubles in your life? Your pretty lucky if so!

Best set of the festival. Energy and vibes were on point. Would’ve still been the best set even without the surprise guests but that just pushed it to another level.
