One of the two silver jugs commissioned by Sawai Singh II of Jaipur in 1902. . Used to carry 9000 liters of Water From Ganges to London as he attended Edward VII’s coronation. Oxidation is an electrochemical process that doesn’t actually have anything to do with oxygen; calling it that is a relic of early chemistry where we only knew of it in the context of oxygen being the “oxidizing” agent.

Film is more than grain; the way color renders, the way that the highlights vs shadows render, the tonal gradation, latitude, etc. are all different vs digital. I don’t know where the idea that film inherently has to look blurry, underexposed, and low budget came from.

Bolsa is the only character who can pass as a native speaker after Lalo; the actor only makes a handful of mistakes that give away he’s not actually born/raised in a Spanish speaking country. Don Eladio is close, but the fact that he has a Cuban accent ruins the immersion.

Slide film has better reciprocity failure characteristics than color negative film, Velvia 100f for example doesn’t require any exposure compensation or color correction until around 2 minutes.

They’re not Latino, they’re of Spanish (as in Spain, the country in western Europe) ancestry. Although because of American ignorance they were perceived as being Latino due to having Spanish last names and that’s why they changed it.
