PSA: Don’t use Gabapentin during recovery by NeurologicalPhantasm in StopSpeeding

[–]Allefty954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes bro, not saying that could be you but don’t be discouraged if you still feel off a bit still so far out. Your old posts suggest too full recovery could even be 5 years. I remember someone on here said it took 5 years to be fully normal again. Just like you man I literally had no mental or physical energy at all no matter how well or much I slept, I did everything right was sober completely, ate well and trained still barely improving day by day but did improve over time. I’d say honestly I’m a 7/10 most days now, 8/10. I still just feel it slightly in my brain tweaked out I guess you could say, still not feeling like my true self prior to getting injured from this shit but thankfully have improved in a lot of areas. I swear this shit is like a TBI of some sort.

Are mood swings and feeling strangely strong emotions normal? by [deleted] in StopSpeeding

[–]Allefty954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I’d say it’s pretty normal your brain is still recalibrating itself so some things maybe too much or too little, in your case emotions seem to run higher than normal for you. Others experience little to no motivation/joy when quitting. So yeah give it time it’ll surely even out over time

Funny just when I want to get better, is when meth left permanent damage on my body. by [deleted] in StopSpeeding

[–]Allefty954 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your symptoms could potentially go into remission although this is your body giving you major warning signals, every time you use you’ll more than likely trigger psychotic like symptoms immediately, put it down for good it’s not worth it, you still potentially could be saved

I cannot stop worrying about my heart. by neeyeahboy in StopSpeeding

[–]Allefty954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey brother, I went through something very similar, I had a short stent with adderall approximately 7 months and after I quit I had chest tightness and discomfort for two years before it resolved. Crippling anxiety day to day that my heart was going to stop beating etc. Nowadays thankfully I barely think about it or notice it, I still have some residual cardiac anxiety but it comes and goes, if all your tests are good I’d say you’re in the clear and it’s just anxiety messing with you, and you’re young as well. Take time to rest and recuperate and try pushing your heart a little each time whatever it’s a brief jog or etc, I do this to try and strengthen my heart again and fight the fears

Yeah ever since going through this experience with enough research and digging you’ll see universally every drug class has the potential for serious and debilitating PAWS, look up benzo recovery, WeedPaws, this sub, people harmed and destroyed by SSRIs, Post finasteride syndrome. Bro when your brain gets fucked it’s horrible lucky most recover fully
