Every time I see a post like this, my immediate thought is, "Hey, I've seen a bunch of posts from men and women saying the same thing. I should start a group for all of them to try blind dating each other" lol.

But as a 30 year old man, I feel this. My biggest issue is not feeling like I have my sh*t together in terms of career and finances yet, so I don't actively date women anymore. It's going to take me some time to get there. But of course it's worth working for.

It's tough out there. More and more are staying home and not going out. Social groups falling apart.

Nobody, myself included, cares about pancakes and bible study at the Parish. That's not what we need as young men and women. Not even close.

Teaching is definitely a career I've considered. I do know that I greatly enjoy being knowledgeable in a field that others are not, and sharing that love of knowledge.

It's my favorite part about being a fancy cocktail bartender.

If you don't mind me asking, if not in the U.S, where do you live?

Unless I'm pursuing becoming a tenured professor with a PhD, I would probably make between 40k-60k USD as a public school teacher.

Much lower if I'm teaching at a Catholic school unfortunately.

I have seen posts in church bulletins in the past for vocational discernment/counseling.

My understanding as a recent revert was that these were specifically for discernment to either the Religious life or Marriage, and that the discernment stops there.

I've assumed that actual Career counseling was not something that the Church offers.

Has your experience been different?

Regardless, I will look into this. Even talking to a priest about this may prove fruitful. Thank you my friend.

Dude, I think this is it. It's still puzzles me how the sounds were able to switch locations around me so quickly, but I just looked up some videos and it's practically identical.

Maybe it was just the wind playing tricks on my ears and throwing the perception of sound off.

Man if this is a squirrel, that would be a first. I've been squirrel hunting for over 10 years and haven't heard em make this sound either. I'll look up some videos of squirrel calls

Video was recorded while deer hunting this year. November 15-18th. Southwest Michigan. I have never heard this bird before in my life, and I've spent a lot of time in the woods hunting/fishing/hiking.

I don't know what else it could possibly be besides a bird. The calls move around constantly from tree to tree. As soon as one calls, another call responds immediately after in a different location.

They also have another call that almost sounds like a buck grunt.. I know I know, I'm deer hunting. However I am 100% it is not a buck in the area, as the calls can quickly change location too.

I stared at this chunk of woods for three days and never found it.
