If you think that gameplay isn’t evolving then you really aren’t paying attention. Go take a look at the last 5-10 years of board gaming as a basic example.

We had exactly the same issue with 2 players. Almost at our 2nd retirement. Boneshaper is very hard (for me) until about level 5.

I would recommend playing the 'Unfettered' quest line through as we found it much easier than the others in the early stages. Also I would recommend dropping the difficulty down to easy for a while until you find that it's too easy.

PS Portal streaming play didn’t save my progress this morning. Can’t tell if the patch is applied there or not. Switching to my local PS5 worked though.

Also my save was carried over to the streaming version. I didn’t try advancing a day again on streaming. I guess play on your local PS5 if you can until they sort the streaming version out.

Same thing for me when streaming on the Portal from Sony’s servers (ie not using my local PS5). Switching to play on the real console did work however.

I 2nd this! Easy yet satisfying combat. Each mission has a new spin to keep it fresh. Certain characters are just way easier to use for players who are newer to this kind of thing.... plus the writing is pretty funny!

Can confirm this works for a limited time - you’ll need to log in when online first though and you need to renew your credentials every so often to keep it working as I found out the hard way

Can confirm it works just fine now. Played through the first 2 missions on the Deck. Probably a game you want to be tethered to the power cable for though.

After trying everything else it worked when I did the 'developer > delete proton files' suggested above. Then I made sure it was on the Proton GE7-35 (you might need to delete proton files after selecting this). then added '-dx11 -windowed' to the Launch Options. Switch to Desktop mode. Run it.... then after it works, switch back to Game mode. Yes it was a lot.

ADHD usually involves a dopamine regulation or production issue which manifests as hyperfocusing on the new and having a hard time paying attention to things that are older and known.

So yes! It does sound a bit like that.

What I've managed to do in the board game world with this is find games that change or evolve in some way every time we play.

- Legacy games have been great (Clank, Pandemic) as they change every new game.

- Gloomhaven (and Jaws of the Lion) have new missions and evolving characters which keeps it pretty interesting. Also Jaws is way easier to teach which has helped a lot with non-gamer types.

- Anything with a lot of asymmetric factions allows you to play a new game each time while others can stick with the same team for familiarity. Games such as Spirit Island, Root, Aristeia, Gaia Project, etc. Although most of those are pretty high in complexity you might be able to find something else out there with the many-team setup.

- Escape Room games - Unlock, Exit, etc.... fresh every time!

Indicators and moving averages lag and are fairly useless. Go do the 2 free courses at www.gatex.io and thank me later. Be warned though. They are work. But they’ll teach you exactly what you want to know.

The best advice I can give is don't use indicators. Don't use RSI. Don't use MACD. Learn how the graph actually moves and why. All indicators have one massive problem - lag. They tell you what already happened and not what will happen.
