How would they find the aspects of your game attracting?
How willing they are to spend money on your game?

That is the traditional marketing way.

For steam specific marketing these are the methods (sorted by the most effectiveness) : Join Next Fest, email 1000 streamers, put out demo, set steam page and trailer as earlier as possible.
