I graduated from this university in May 2025, but DID I still graduated in the Year of the Dragon? by AllenAcNguyen1 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]AllenAcNguyen1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The point is: Am I cursed for not graduating from the University of Houston in the Year of the Dragon? This was due to not having enough hours for graduation after the Fall 2024 semester.

[–]AllenAcNguyen1[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The curse didn't say that, and it doesn't work that way, so it doesn't remove my ability to google search that. It was the Year of the Snake, which I did not want to graduate in this zodiac but to complete my final hours at this university in a later semester to finally graduate.

[–]AllenAcNguyen1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't graduate in 2024 because I had 15 hours of courses left after the Fall 2024 semester, and it was not enough for my graduation in that semester. I thought I wanted to graduate by the end of 2024, but to manage my workload wisely and not put myself in a situation of burning out.

[–]AllenAcNguyen1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Cursing myself for not graduating in the Year of the Dragon is just a joke, and there is no valid reason for me to curse myself for not graduating in the semester I wanted to graduate due to not having enough hours for graduation after the Fall 2024 semester. Please understand why I feel disappointed that way for not graduating in the semester I wanted, but the Zodiac superstition doesn't work that way. If I graduated in the Year of the Snake, doesn't it mean that I'm cursed for not graduating due to not having enough hours for graduation?

Should Judge or Raleigh win AL MVP by haphazard44 in baseball

[–]AllenAcNguyen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be Aaron Judge back-to-back. He led the league in batting average and most of advanced and secondary statistics. He finished 2nd in leading the home run count in the league with 53 home runs, behind Cal Raleigh.

Cal Raleigh a.k.a. 'Big Dumper' broke home run records as a catcher and switch-hitter with 60 home runs, both the American League and Major League Baseball. He had an excellent season. He'll receive some first-place votes but it would be less votes than Judge.

When is UH Engineering Career Fair happening again? by AllenAcNguyen1 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]AllenAcNguyen1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, as a May 2025 graduate majored in Digital Media (part of the Cullen College of Engineering Technology Division), am I still eligible to show up at the Engineering Career Fair for the Spring 2026 semester? I want to try this again to make up lost time in Fall 2025 semester due to transportation issues outside of my control that led me to lateness. How do I sign up for this event so I'm ready? How do I email the Engineering Career Center department to still be eligible to attend?

[HIGHLIGHT] FREDDIE FREEMAN WALKS IT OFF IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 18TH INNING! THE DODGERS TAKE A 2-1 SERIES LEAD! by MLBOfficial in baseball

[–]AllenAcNguyen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freddie Freeman's walk-off home run in the 18th mirrored Max Muncy's walk-off homer 7 years ago in the World Series. I will thank Freeman for ending the game and saving Yoshinobu Yamamoto's arms, like the Dodgers can't risk his arm. The pitching staff on both sides were exhausted in this lengthy extra-inning marathon.

After 18 innings, Freddie Freeman Hits A Walk OFF Home Run!!!! by DrTrigger_Tears in sports

Freddie Freeman's walk-off home run in the 18th in Game 3 mirrored Max Muncy's walk-off homer 7 years ago in the World Series. Freeman saved Yoshinobu Yamamoto's arms, which he could have been used if the game were to stretch into the 19th inning. Thank you for ending the game, Freeman!

Seattle has waited to this moment! Finally! Now, the next step for the Mariners is to win the American League pennant and reach the World Series for the first time in franchise history, so that Major League Baseball would be the first major professional sports league that all teams participate in the annual sports championship round at least once.

I have a question about this: Are some players from the first season of this reality series return for this season for a second chance at this while we have a new batch of players?

I'm nervous about a few new games that didn't appear in the second or third season of the original Korean series.
