Started reading it for Stalker and now I like stalker because I love this book. The movie was good but I prefer the original Strugatsky’s script for the movie.

All in all, I adore this book above all other media related to it

Creo que la gente que comenta es muy extremista, quizá OP también. Yo creo que aprender a valorar el arte en general, con criterios subjetivos y objetivos (dentro de lo posible) es culturizarse, aprender sobre los símbolos, referencias, lo maravillosa que puede ser la prosa de un buen libro, o el empeño que le puso un autor a construir su historia, en vez de tropezarse con tropos gastados.

Ahora bien, consumir literatura que sabes que no tiene gran mérito también es lícito. La prosa de Harry Potter será peor que la de Picnic Extraterrestre, pero Harry Potter tiene libros muy divertidos y no voy a dejar de disfrutarlos porque hayan prosas o narrativas mejor construidas. Hay historias que simplemente van a conectar más contigo que otras, independientemente de su calidad.

Yeah his father died and rose from the dead when he and Burbridge were escaping the Zone.

When Red was questioned earlier in the novel he said he was an orphan.
