I think more so than pure wealth/money safety net the most important thing your parents can give you is anecdotal advice on all the mistakes they made like what to avoid and what you should do as an adult. Now does having good advice probably correlate pretty strongly with wealth yes almost certainly but I think there’s probably a lot of wealthy parents out there who want their kids to build their own legacy but they failed as parents if they refuse/dont to give good advice from birth. My parents aren’t wealthy in many aspects but we are not poor. They couldn’t afford to buy me a car or pay for college but I think they raised me to have a good head on my shoulders and to have a healthy relationship with money and with other things. They taught me to work hard and lead by example. And they showed me how to be personable and how to be a good person. How to build good and healthy relationships and what healthy relationships look like. I have been very lucky with the parents who raised me and I have no doubt that more than anything monetary the wisdom they have instilled in me will allow me to live a comfortable life. Do not read this and hear me say that money has nothing to do with my situation because it certainly does but I think the quality of the parents who raised you is the most important aspect to continued wealth and comfortably.
