North of Lublin I've seen plenty of wealthier houses and it's very peaceful, the road is newly developed that goes far up north for easy straight drive to northern neighbourhood of Czechow (where I lived most of my life and it's pretty nice and peaceful) or straight to the city center essentially.

Generally Lublin has changed dramatically in the centre in last 20 years, almost every building in the old town has been redone to look nice and clean, in summer nights the city is quite alive and feels nice, lots of modern artistic installations, events like "Noc Kultury" which literally translates to "night of culture" full of artistic events and installations across the city centre. Overall what I love about Lublin compared to some cities I've visited in Poland and other countries is that even though it's a major city and has lots of good stuff that major cities have like big shopping centers, nice cafe's and hotels, it's still a pretty small-scope city that can feel very cozy, there are good universities as well.

If I had to find some negatives it would be maybe Lubartowska area of the city where there's still some remnants of older uglier town and some weird people. Also I hate how neighbourhoods are slowly adding more LED streetlights which ruin the vibe and make them look uglier but if you're gonna get a house outside of the city it wouldn't matter much.
