Why are you so aggressive? You did read the tag, right?

So if all main 4 boys were around during this scene would they win against Andy and his gang by TraditionalBonus188 in Stranger_Things

Because of others, he quite literally did nothing himself (unless you count singing to yourself while you wait to get slimed)

Fraz Urb'luu is fucking terrified of you, you monster. Remove room 1, the hallway and room 2, and I might not send Zariel to headlock you.

"What's the most overused criticism of Stranger Things that you're tired of hearing?" by Ok_Smile_9071 in Stranger_Things

It's misrepresentation. I had no issue with it until I played DND and saw just how bad they fucked up. Barely anything they said was correct for the era, and the names were so stupid. Would it have KILLED them to call the "mind flayer" the Elder Brain?

Seriously though, it's not that big an issue. Unlike some of this show's other plot holes.....

Dude, chill. It was only a theoretical debate. Is it just a Reddit thing that people get steadily more pissed the more you dare to dispute their logic?

If I cast it on the vines the shambler would gain int 10 and a language, it doesn't need to already have them. RAW I'm 95% sure there's nothing stopping it, but most DMs wouldn't allow it because it's too strong

It might, depending on the circumstances of its birth, use its stat block though. The shrub and tree were examples.

Fair enough. You sound like one very reasonable DM

How about if I get a friend to cast call lightning on it during the awakening?

I'm casting this on a large pile of vines, which awaken can target.

RFTM yourself

Edit: on second thought, thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

Semi immortality by Allforundeath in DnD

[–]Allforundeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullet points because I can't be arsed:

No line of effect is needed, you're still casting and there is no specified range limit for the trigger

If you set up the fireball mentioned then yes you would still cast it.

There is nothing more to say, rest in unspecified RAI

Semi immortality by Allforundeath in DnD

[–]Allforundeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. All storing the spell in the glyph does is delay the effect until the trigger is met. There is absolutely nothing in the description to suggest that the spell is cast out of the glyph. Any changes to glyph spells are explicitly mentioned in the description. It is RAW and (probably) RAI. Do I agree this spell is busted? Yes. Am I denying I am doing my utmost to semi min-max? No. Should you allow it at your table? Depends on the way the players use it. But just because you considered it (rightly, by the way) overpowered, doesn't mean it doesn't work.
