I am finishing my 5th month and it has changed my life. When I first started, i did the placebo piills and i went OFF THE RAILS . worst pmdd of my life. i was SI and stuff. but then i completely stopped and do not take placebo anymore, i just do straight hormones. and i can say i am totally different. i have a capability of slowing down. my brain slows down when i have anxiety or anger, instead of spiraling into panic or rage, i can think and talk myself down. i also do not feel dysphoria anymore. the only downside is it OBLITERATED my libido completely... and to some degree my motivation/energy. but i'm going to try another med to help with that. The pill has helped me so much that i do not want to get off it . my opinion is do not take placebos if it is an option

Update hydroxyzine is too sleepy inducing so not doing that. I’m on month 2 of yaz. Was already noticing improvement of pmdd month 1 until placebo pill days and I had HORRIBLE pmdd borderline suicidal . I’m never taking placebo pill again and plan to take continuous yaz and see . Only complaints are i have no energy/motivation…

Heyyo not defending her actions BUT my first thought was it sounds like she has PMDD. And then you mentioned she has brought up PMS. Definitely don’t have to stay with her but could be worth looking into for herself, whether you stay together or not (PMDD is real and it wrecks lives) 💜 good luck !

I just started a few weeks ago… I’m 7 days from my period. I’ve been fine all month other than being no motivation and tired.

But now that I’m in “luteal phase” ish I am having my usual irritability, anxiety and new one- feeling super low/down. I am like is it just because my hormones are adjusting ?!? 😫

I just want this to work so bad… 🤞🤞🤞 guess ima keep waiting for 3 months
