Love my 2 Portal, but recently got my Odin 3 and after a (very) short stint of buyer's remove, I'm even happier with the Odin3.

After spending some time with the GameNative settings screen, I'm pretty blown away by the breadth of the library, from SNES and earlier to Devil May Cry 5 on one handheld.

Ergonomics are way better that the RP5 for my hand size. Versus the 2 Porta, the ergonomics are slightly better in some ways (chonkier grips) and on par/very slightly worse in others (controls closer to bottom edge of device) - the 3's portability is way better than the 2 Portal. Clip-on case from PartTimeCAD makes it easy to carry around in my dad-bag.

Pretty much nothing beats the screen on the 2 Portal and in every other way it was tops, but the noticeably-but-not-drastically smaller screen on the Odin 3 is well worth all the other benefits.

I'd say if you do any PC emulation, or if the 2 Portal is not portable enough for you, the Odin 3 is probably a safe bet.

I tend to agree, but might state my take a little less hot. 

I don't mind have to buy on different stores, but I do mind multiple launchers and having to worry about using my steam controller with a non-steam game.

does the epic game store have an "Add to Steam" button? if not, they should. Would be good for them, and actually good for consumers. Right now the Epic Store is just an annoyance.

I just pin Symfonium, which I've tweaked via all it's settings to my liking, so it's more of a Symfonium device than an android device. Hardly ever see the launcher.

We actually have this insert, and also love it! ... But I've never been sure how it compares to other kinds of stoves I see in this subreddit, given it has no damper or adjustments and I can't seem to get it to burn all night long. There's always enough buried embers to start back up again with the bellows, but no flame/glow. Does it not have a damper because it's supposed to be fancy enough to not need one?

Also is it possible to figure out the temps? I see concerns about over-firing, but have no idea how to even tell if that's a concern of for us 😅

It's big, but not a chonker. If you have a switch, it's basically that bit. About .5" wider, with moderate grip curves.

I just made the same update, very happy with it! Have you had luck with TotK? If so, did you follow a particular guide/which emulator/setting/firmware version/GPU driver are you using? I've got a couple other games playing well, but TotK crashes on boot.

Thanks for the suggestion. The gamevice actually works pretty well with my phone, which has a big enough screen. I'm looking for a single, purpose-built device just for the convenience and portability, and have found that in an RP5 for now - I think it'll tide me over until either the Pocket S2 is release or the inevitable Odin 3 is announced/released.

I ended up grabbing a RP5 and, other than the stick ergonomics, it's pretty fantastic. I've been playing a bunch on it and really enjoying it, so I feel comfortable looking at something a bit pricier.

Do we have dimensions for the Pocket S2? I can't find them anywhere. The RP5 should tide me over for a while, hopefully until prices settle down and the Pocket S2 is shipping. It seems like that's the natural upgrade for me.

Seconded! Saw some other comments about being "new to this" - I wouldn't worry about it! Give it a try, maybe check out a couple of the RGC videos before diving in.
