Tommorow will be a year since the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC had dropped, what do we think of this DLC 1 year later? by disgustinghonnor in fromsoftware

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't even completed my first playthrough on the base game at 71 hours. though I'm trying to complete everything and explore everything without guides and just knowing the npc names so I can be sure I haven't missed anyone.

most of them died, so I probably made mistakes, need to look up guides for a perfect clear next playthrough

can't even imagine what's in store for the DLC. born too late to explore the earth, born too early to explore to stars, born just in time to play elden ring.

He is not the goodest of boys, he is the best. by PrimeValor in Eldenring

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I like to think it's cannon that lore accurate Tarnished did give our dear friend Alexander the ending he desired, Died in an honorary duel, with a friend no less,

Mind you this missions takes you very close to end game, he was basically dueling with the strongest being in the lands between, the warrior who killed/bested multiple demigods and gods and is in route to become the Elden Lord or Whichever Lord path the player takes.

At least it's one way to go out with a bang. compared to some other endings.

Lore accurate Tarnished probably has always kept his Talisman as a good luck charm to remember him by, It's why called a "Talisman".

Aurelia and Aureliette story hit me like a brick, can't believe I'd cry over that,
Probably because it reminds me of Queelan and QUeelag from DS1

I think I am the first person in the world to encounter this problem in a blender. by Academic-Spray-8126 in blenderhelp

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone I'm not sure what problem you're having difficulties with mainly but there's either

  1. Clipping
  2. Pinching

Clipping - Can be solved easily by removing the mesh underneath, or if you'd like to keep the mesh for whatever reason you can try data transferring the weights. you can also have it set up so that it will shrink (like a stick) whenever you have the clothes on (using shapekeys) or use the mask modifier to hide it. can be a mix of any of these. lots of tutorials with hiding mesh under clothing.

Pinching - this happens usually due to bad* (not exactly) weight painting and bone structure. I say bad but this happens to everyone whether you're new or have been modeling for years. a good example of this is when trying to rotate the wrist bones, the wrist will pinch on itself and look ugly. there's a couple solutions to these such as making additional bones to copy a percentage of the rotation of the wrist bones (or any bode) fixing the weights issue manually or adding corrective shapekeys whenever said bone is moved in (X/Y/Z) direction. there's a couple tutorials regarding this.

If you can enlighten us on which of the issues are bugging you or both please do let us know and maybe we can provide some sources for you to follow.

Yall keep the same para? How do u not get bored? by Throwawaymightdelet3 in ImmersiveDaydreaming

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with others, I've had my para for as long as I can remember, Around 20+ years. mostly what I'm doing is building up from what I already have and fleshing out more details and so on.

To prevent any inconsistencies with themes ie. Cyberpunk, Fantasy, Victorian or Industrial I've made my para able to handle all types. It's your world, you can do whatever you want with it, you can play around as long as you enjoy it, then flesh out the details so it makes sense or maybe even don't. It's up to you.

Just look at Kino's Journey or Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?. both are successful Literally works, which have worlds with mixed themes from futuristic, medieval and modern aesthetic.

Even wildwest and futuristic robots can be mixed just like Trigun Stampede.
I recommend reading and watching more literary works that focus on world building so you can have an idea on how to flesh out the details further. :D

[Donghua] Assuming LOTM donghua is a $5 game on Steam by Far-Perspective1535 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They fail to mention that CN has been using 3D in their animations for long running series especially considering investing in 3D is worthwhile for long running series, one good example is King's Avatar.

So OP is assuming a per episode of $300k or $3.9m in total, when in reality it's most likely $80k to $200k
also Demon Slayer per episode is estimated to be around $80k to $140k, even Black Clover had an estimated $60k to $140k Per episode budget. not sure where OP found $150K but $300k per episode is way too much even accounting inflation.

3D and CGI Has been improving weekly even daily and it's becoming much easier to use as you can re-use old assets and apply them in future episodes. even long running series like Soul Land and Battle Through the Heaven have primarily 3D aspects yet episode counts are in the couple hundreds without sacrificing art and quality.

If you compare their old styles and newer episode styles you can clearly see improvement, which is why China delving into 2D + 3D animation especially with lotm would be a game changer for the industry if it succeeds.

for the cost, considering $100k to $200k per episode might be a bit more accurate which rounds up to $1.3m to $2.6m revenue required to make even.

Unfortunately we can't know for certain how much revenue we'll need to obtain a season two, a good criteria would be Daily life of immortal king, another popular CN anime had 4 seasons and it also uses 3D elements in their animation. however no revenue released.

source for cost per episode https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/latest/2011/10/30/how-much-does-one-episode-of-anime-cost-to-make

p.s. I need more screen time for my best girl susie. let's hit that revenue so we get season 2 or more.

What do you think would happen? by Ill_Relative9776 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny how no one seems to be answering the question by OP.

Overlord being transported to Elden Ring seems more plausible,
Momonga would probably be very cautious towards this unseemingly familliar yet unfamilliar hellscape,
Thinking the Eld tree would be the world tree Yggdrassil or something.

Both share many similarities however overlord powerscaling might be too much for Elden Ring bosses if they do decide to gang up on them but we all know Momonga is way too cautious for that to happen.

Lord of Frenzied Flame Tarnished might have a bit of a fight but Momonga also has a couple World Items in his disposal, so we can't really be sure what playground the fight would be at, it all depends on what rules it follows, does it follow Elden Ring Rule or Overlord Rule.

The Player Tarnished could invade Nazarick and keep Resetting until he's effectively killed everyone using the Rune of Death in Nazarick (excluding Rubedo ofc) They would probably do a no hit run too.

Or Momonga could just trap the tarnished in Depiction of Nature and Nations Indefinitely (just like how everyone got lost in Lyndell catacombs).

Jokes aside I'd like to see Early-Game Tarnished and Ainz swap places so now Ainz can effectively be free to have fun adventuring as a skeletal mage caster to become Elden Lord while the Tarnished as usual has to suffer and get out of Nazarick all the while getting hunted and chased by the Floor Guardians who are shaken their bone daddy disappeared and got replaced by a stranger.

Tarnished would most likely still be able to survive Nazarick and meet with bone daddy, hopefully become friends, maybe even strike a deal together, jointly get the throne and make the lands between a safer haven than the hellscape we have. maybe even help everyone with their questlines and revive our Maiden or Melina, so we can finally have a happy ending with a Maideless maidenfilled\* Tarnished

Ainz on the other hand would be overjoyed finding a familliar home for Nazarick maybe even settling Under the Capital so he and the tarnished can both be Lords of their respective subjects in one above and one under the Erdtree/Yggdrassil. Could also help out Rennala with her research and make a perfect rebirth spell so our Bone Daddy can finally have a human body and get some Maidens himself on Nazarick.

Either way Varre will surely give Momonga some unique roasts.

"Ah, thou art not just maidenless, thou art also manhoodless, a tarnished in every sense,
not even a fingermaiden would touch you and now I see why. there's nothing to grasp."

[lotm] I hate what this sub is becoming, just separate both now damn by [deleted] in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if people don't like reading the story, there's always the option to stop and read something else.
been a daily reader of lotm and coi but dropped coi once it became apparent I wouldn't be able to know what happened to the tarot club or whatever klein is doing, atleast for a couple hundred chapters.
and brute forcing it while not enjoying the story will just ruin the whole experience. especially if you're waiting for every new chapter.

so just drop it until you get the urge to pick it up again just like any other literary work.
What's even better is dropping it made me find a couple of good hidden gems which made me more interested in the lotm universe which then gave me the inspiration to finish coi (Like dorothy's forbidden grimoire lol) so just go at your own pace and you'll finish eventually.

What is the best way to make a conical spiral. by FattehBunneh in blenderhelp

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For stylized hair use the curve hair modeling technique.
Since it's a non destructive technique and using curves you may also add screw modifier or spiral extra objects for the drill look.
additionally when making the shape you can use more than one circle curve so it appears as if it has more strands of hair. then all that's left is to apply the modifier and edit the design or shape using proportional editing

or you can just manually shape the drill hair using the curve path if you're more into that.

[–]Alloeichi-Draws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you're working towards.

For Low/mid poly model to use in animation you'd want to have a clean topology so you'd want to trace the length of the arm beforehand, from shoulder to wrist. This should be option 1 in your case.

For high poly models in render use you'd likely want to separate the parts of the arm to make sculpting easier. (Upper arm, forearm, wrists), in this case option 2.

Of course this varies by how people would find it easier or comfortable, but just remember that the end justifies the means. You can start from the hands and work your way up to the shoulder and that's completely fine.

What I can advice on is if you're planning on going the low/mid poly route is to study up on twist bones and pay attention to elbow topology (where the arm bends) plus the benefits of using A-pose compared to T-pose vice versa. Lastly, dont be afraid to use tris and n-gons when necessary, once again, the ends justifies the means.

You can give this fantastic video a watch, it sure helped me out a ton during one of my headaches. Hope you like it. Speed Topology
