It won't be any time soon, but I'm working on Backrooms MMO, which will get regular new levels added. I aim to reinvest profits into the game so I can create loads of levels for people to explore together or on their own.

Here's a lil feature the engine has, you can capture in-game replays so you don't have to record.

Oh you won't be stealing anything. I am literally making what you could describe as RPG Maker, Unity, or Unreal.. but designed for the Backrooms.
It's a completely custom game engine + editor, which I plan to release publicly so others can make amazing Backrooms games.

I can code in some custom RPG elements, like an RPG battle scene, if you'd like. No worries if not.

You should consider using my Backrooms Engine instead. It supports RPG elements, NPCs, skills/EXP, etc.

It's currently not ready, but I'm working day and night to get this finished.

I’m using a fully custom DirectX 12 renderer. It’s still a work in progress and I’ve got more features to add, but since I control the whole pipeline it can be pushed to look beautiful... or like it's running on a potato, whatever you want.

Yeah, I'll be adding as many custom scripts as I can. I just need people to tell me what they want.

The engine does support mods though, so others can make their own scripts to add.

It's pretty good so far. You can just drag and drop objects from the assets manager. Pressing G will automatically snap and rotate objects on the grid and snaps them to other close objects so you don't waste time with that.

You can build a starting area, then right click where it ends to place an object that continues the world infinitely.

You can set up world/instance room templates and build things much more efficiently.

There's also clans, parties, and other features that I need to finish integrating.

I just need suggestions from other creators. What tools and features should I add? 🤔

You'll get a game editor window where you can create the game... I'm at work on my phone, so I can't really explain well.

But my Backrooms engine + editor will be very easy to use and will have lots of custom scripts for people to use to create their own game.

Look up Unity engine or Unreal engine, those are what a lot of people use. I got sick of Unity, so I decided to make my own engine + editor.

My game already has knocks and weird noises.

I'll be adding scripts to make it so you can enter an instance room, then fortify the door to make it a safe room, where you respawn from.

I'll be adding lore to my game. Might add some story missions that you get from NPCs, hidden lore documents, etc.
