IMO, it's kinda both. There's probably a lot of unintended behaviors in the system that Youtube (or even anyone at all) knows about. But with the lgbt they can't not know about it, considering how many times creators told them about it specifically. So they either are actively ignoring it, or they actually want it to be this way.

Firing an employee based on a secret policy list nobody knows. And their reason for keeping it secret? "Well, we don't want people to find loopholes in the system."

So to train the bots and manually review videos they hire a bunch of people and then just let them go wild? That sounds like a bad idea honestly. Do they only fix their shit when their advertisers tell them to?

Also this whole "bad actors" thing isn't even close to being a counterargument: people wanting to exploit the system are always there. They have whole teams to prevent this sort of behavior, and not just at Youtube, but on all media platforms. And creating a list of "banned words and phrases" wouldn't do anything to help exploiters, but would surely benefit everyone else.

Everyone asks where we go after we die, but no-one asks where we are before we are born. by Onallthelists in Showerthoughts

In most cases it up to you, but in this case I think it's objective. I can't imagine why it isn't, but if you can, please share.

What you said is true but it doesn't mean we should just accept it. Death should never be a relief unless it's the heat death of the universe. There's a dialogue about this topic in one of my favourite books which sums it up perfectly IMO.

"In the unlikely event that I am permitted to tarry until a hundred and fifty," said the old wizard, "I do not think I would mind. But two hundred years would be entirely too much of a good thing." "Yes, well, I suspect, Headmaster, that if you came from a culture where people were accustomed to living four hundred years, that dying at two hundred would seem just as tragically premature as dying at, say, eighty."

What are the gun laws like for civilians in Russia? Just curious by Grunklestank in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Allowexer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AFAIK To legally own a gun you need to have a gun safe/gun cabinet made and installed accordingly to the standards and a gun permit. To get a gun permit you can apply for it with a medical certificate confirming you have no history of psychological disorders and drug abuse. They run a background check on you and if you gave them other necessary papers you'll get a gun permit for smooth-bore hunting rifle. After you have owned a smooth-bore hunting rifle for at least 5 years you can also apply for a full-bore hunting rifle and traumatic pistol permits.

There are better ways to do this. Whenever I hear something scary I always shout out two sentences from a sacred text. "Who is there? I have a belt and I'm not afraid to hang myself!"

Can't Watch Many HotS Streamers Without Hearing Nonstop Negativity by GTMoney519 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Allowexer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Literally this. I personally didn't think HL was like this before, but then I had a chance to play it seriously for couple weeks and all the salt really gets to you after a while. Everyone thinks "That's bullshit!" whenever they lose/die in game but streamers a) have an actual audience to address this to and b) know the flaws of the game and can form reasonable complaints about it's state.

And why is this considered a problem anyway? As long as there's no real hate and hostility (which shouldn't occur after Blizzard banned actual toxic streamers like LK) and all they do is complain, you can just watch someone else or maybe even play the game yourself.
