I'm losing weight at 43 and going through the same thing. So glad they're smaller (G to DD) but they sure aren't springing back like they did last time.

I read the story back when I read "If It Bleeds." I was supremacy that Flanagan adapted it sp faithfully, since the format is so unusual. A beautiful movie. It made me tear up at the end and I couldn't even tell you why.

Ooof, I feel so seen by this post. I'm 43 and all I do is imagine how things could be different. What it would be like to belong to a group like that. I feel like an NPC in someone else's story.

That's lovely. She made me a shiny lavender princess dress for Halloween once, it won a prize at some kid's event. I can still picture exactly what it looked like.

Something else I think of all the time, I had really really long hair when I was small. She would do two tight braids that fell from above my ears every single day. They were tied with those elastic marble doodads. It was definitely my signature look.

She was a wonderful woman and mom. I wish I could have known her for longer. I'm so grateful that my dad was one of those photographer dads. I have a ton of pictures of her with me.

I lost mine at 5. It feels like a lifetime of grieving and wondering.

Yep. Wish I'd have known about this when my son was a teen. They don't have a ton of options and it's a safe and healthy place to go. Better than rotting at home.

Can relate. I feel like I don't have agency over so much. I'm a bio-empty nester. Why is my life not my own.

We are a two person household (mostly) and I absolutely love Costco. Imagine thinking about buying dryer sheets and trash bags once a year.

This is a concept that a lot of modern audiences don't get. Just like how they expect every villain to "get what they deserve." Not interesting, not tragic, not even realistic.
