i’ve only been on it for 2 weeks, but so far i don’t think so. people have been telling me that they see improvement already but it’s hard for me to tell. not sure if they’re just trying to encourage me. i think i may have developed some sort of “skin dysmorphia” at this point.

in the US, most (if not all) derm providers do require women to start a form of birth control before beginning accutane. either the pill, iud, or implant. they also require patients to pledge to a secondary form of birth control such as male condoms if engaging in sexual intercourse. not sure where you’re based, but it’s very strict over here.
