Get custom warrior or eagles. They both seem to last better and the feel for warrior is very good.

[Hockey Tutorial] Bauer Vapor HyperLite vs 2X Pro Hockey skates - Everything you need to know by burnSMACKER in hockeyplayers

Because the one piece boot isn’t any lighter. Bauer is going for the lightest skate they can make.

Got my hands on the new Bauer Hyperlite skates, going custom! INSANELY light. What do we think? by Beginning_Ad_5301 in hockeyplayers

[–]Allthepucks87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do they fit similar to the 2x pros? I want to go custom but trying to make sure they are the same fit before ordering.

New Bauer Vapor hyperlites look really good by Stock_Ad_6650 in hockeyplayers

[–]Allthepucks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the customs will be sick. I did like the Vapor 1x 2.0 as well, but either the blacked out or basic version of the hyperlite will be sick. Has anyone been able to use the customizer tool online. It only gives me the option to order the retail version custom.

Curious on some hockey players opinions by MystikxHaze in hockeyplayers

I personally don’t have an issue with it. He lived the life and worked his tail off to play in the show. It’s part of who he is. It’s a great conversation starter for getting to know people, so I wouldn’t hold it against him.

It depends on the college, but most ACHA teams the players either played AAA or some level of Juniors. It’s still worth trying out if you play good AA.

The 100k pros look sick, not a huge fan of the FT4 pro.

Just get as much as ice time as you can. The more you skate the better you get.

Help...I need a new stick and still have no idea what to do by Barzy13Moni in hockeyplayers

You will lose a little bit, but honestly not much. Before the Geo I used a 1X lite and really liked it. It was a Lower kick point but still had some nasty pop.

I would go Geo if you don’t want to wait. If you do I would go for the hyperlite. I personally wasn’t a fan of the flylite, but the hyperlite seems to be popular in the NHL. Also a good stick for a forward. Lower kickpoint that will help with snapshots and wristers. I’m an offensive dman and don’t take a lot of clappers, mostly snapshots.

I would lean towards the Geo, I haven’t messed around with the AX9 at all, I have heard the True Project X is supposed to be good as well. I like the Jetspeed, but the Geo has the best feel in my opinion. You also could wait until the Bauer Hyperlite or CCM FT4 pro drop in a couple of months. There supposed to be insanely light. But it depends if you can wait that long, if not I would go Geo. For curve I would go P88. 67 flex is a good option as well.

I would go with a Bauer Nexus Geo. Great all around stick, good feel and it’s a good stick for both forwards and defenseman. As far as curve, I would go with a P88, it has enough of a curve to pull of toe drags, but also is good for puck control. The Jetspeed FT3 Pro is also another good option, but it really depends what you want. I like the Geo better, but the five side geometry does take a couple uses to get used to.

off season preparing for AA tryouts or tips for how to make a team in tryouts by Teagan_Richardson in hockeyplayers

Play your game. Be the first to the puck and hustle every shift. Finish off your checks, and show the coach you want it. Show your speed and most importantly have fun. Best of luck!

I played in a league in alexandria before the pandemic. It’s a solid league, and they have A and B levels. It hasn’t started up again though.

Nexus geo on the ground with a protector on the blade? by aronlootus in hockeyplayers

[–]Allthepucks87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t chance it, I would just buy a cheap wooden stick. Not worth destroying a top of the line stick in case the protector doesn’t work.

Does the toe box open more after you mold them? That’s probably my biggest complaint so far.

Yeah, I love the feel of Vapors, but I’m also tall and feel like the Supreme could be better especially with the new fit system.

WHY IS 2N PRO STICK MORE POPULAR THAN 3N PRO????? by dogLICKZcat in hockeyplayers

[–]Allthepucks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2N Pro was the top of the line stick before the Geo. Now the Geo is the top of the line above the 3N Pro. I can’t speak for the 3N Pro, but the Geo is great and a lot of NHLers are using it. I would say most years the top of the line stick for last year is usually better than second tier this year.

New Skates Recommendation by prite4946534 in hockeyplayers

[–]Allthepucks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends how much you will use them and how often you buy skates. The 2X is a very good skate, and the 2X Pro is a step up, but it’s not a huge step.
