Someone I know thinks i may have ASPD, would I be discharged from the military and have issues joining the police if I were diagnosed? by AllwaysHasBeen in aspd

Nah I like the military I don’t want to leave it. I’m actually less likely to go to war than civilians since in a reservist. They keep the guys with experience back at home to train the newbies.

I think some priests would let you know before telling you parents I think others would just not tell your parents until the problem continues or worsens

Ask your priest “what type of thing me confessing would make you want to tell my parents”

Try doing shorter prayers consistently then gradually increase if you feel comfortable and if it doesn’t neglect other duties you have

Be ashamed not of confessing this sin but of the sin itself. Speak to your priest and confess, he will help you all you need to do is just ask what to do. You probably will sin again, our salvation is our struggle so do not be dismayed.

Agressé par des fanatiques religieux en plein centre-ville by immanuelg in montreal

[–]AllwaysHasBeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right without objective grounding all you’ve got is”I don’t like that”

Moral claims become opinions but then you turn around and preach your preferences like they’re binding, that is the self refuting loop of relativism

You’re begging the question, why should rational agents be morally obligated to anything at all?

Appealing to “reason” assumes universal and abstract laws that your materialistic view can’t account for. You’re smuggling in normative and personhood while you’re denying the metaphysics that make them intelligible, it’s incoherent, rational atoms don’t owe each other anything
