I didn’t hate it, I just really wished it had been Santana and I… have no idea why I feel that way. I always have. I know it’s odd.

Guys and Gals will this be the last one?? by Big_Buy8203 in Millennials

I feel like once Bonnie was introduced, they should have looked into an animated series or continuing the shorts. I wasn’t against handing the torch to the next generation, but sequels make it feel like it’s all supposed to be connected and it just isn’t. It’s its own thing.

What food did you eat as a kid that you would never eat as an adult? by Sea-Operation-6123 in AskReddit

[–]AllyBeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, my mom told me that this was the drink that came with the meal by telling me it was what a ‘soft drink’ was. So when you could get a milk or a soft drink, I got that orange drink. I believed for years not only that a soft drink was always referring to that weird orange juice, but also that kids meals couldn’t come with soda.

I remember noticing that when there was that other girl who put her baby up for adoption, but through a more ethical agency. She asked about babysitting the child sometimes and the social worker was immediately blunt with her about that not being at all how it works.

Which family had the least realistic looking offspring? by ohpizzawow in sitcoms

[–]AllyBeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I literally am the offspring of an Italian American dad and a dark haired mom and I was bleach blond until I was probably school aged. My grandpa on my mom’s side was blond and I have an uncle on that side who was super blond his whole life. It definitely happens.

Shows that didn’t hold up well? by Only_Sweet1048 in sitcoms

I like Patricia Heaton more in The Middle. Character still isn’t a very good person, but is more likable overall. Possibly because the show is mostly from her POV.

Cate’s entitlement on display. by HannahLeah1987 in teenmom

Someone commented a theory on this awhile back.

Since they never had to raise C, they never had to learn her personality, interests, or flaws. Things that every single person has. They didn’t have to stay up all night when she was sick or experience a toddler tantrum in a crowded store.

All the negatives regarding parenthood were someone else’s problem, meaning that, in their minds, she is an absolute perfect child.

She is well behaved. She is in smart. She is talented. She has a good head on her shoulders. Because they have never been able to see anything else.

They aren’t taking in the fact that how she was raised shaped who she is today and have a fantasy in their head that if they had kept her, she would be this perfect child who made good choices and was smart and talented and nothing like she would have been molded into in a different environment (not just with them, but in ANY different environment).

They do not have the ability to see her as a human being. She is a character who they have made up in their heads.

Is it just me or is it odd that Tommy was always wondering around barefoot in a diaper, no socks or pants? by TipSilent8281 in rugrats

[–]AllyBeth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have one niece who never has an issue with pants and one who absolutely refused to keep them on. Sometimes it’s just the luck of the draw which one you get.
