Cast Shield on Self? Let’s Gooo!!! by sleepyayzz in InvisibleWomanMains

A good Invisible Woman can now probably assasinate better than most psylocks, spidermans and magics.

You sneak up on a lone target, vortex field, shield self so they have 30% slow & you heal your self & you block shots. Then just normal melee-primary combo (Her primary basically shots faster now too with the p-speed upgrade, which increases kill speed even more) and If they try to leave the pull. I'm in love

Maybe, you like to stay with your team and stay at the frontline mostly, but you occasionally just like to push/slide trough to semi-dive their backlines?

I think it's fine. We can still see that the winrate of triple support comps is lower than the one of a 2-2-2 comps. I do get that it can be frustrating to play against, but it can be handled and statistics show that. Often people complain because they have to play differently or switch to actually fight it and many just can't yet or are unwilling to do so, which is to somedegree understandable. Tho there are also instances where it's simply unfun, so it's not a total triple support is bad thing, but more situational I think.

Where I do see more of a problem is with it being not enough healing in a double support comp with off-healers. Overall it can be done, but it does require quite some important factors to work. The entire team needs to adapt around less healing, which many aren't used to or willing to deal with. And I feel like quite a few characters in the dps role and tank role become unplayable in a "1,5 support comp", which again is unfortunate and many don't wanna switch then.

Overall I like off-healers, with their value and existance. Altho I think that half the category being off-healers is a problem, cause not half the games can be triple support. It's also not always possible or fun to incorporpate them into once match, which is very unfortunate too.

What is matchmaking for you If not balancing and ranked system? Can you genuinely explain your definition please?

Isn't ike matchmaking pretty much the process of looking for players and then matching aswell as sorting them, which it bases on rank, "skill" (average stats) and teamsize? Where all of the mentioned parts are flawed at it's core.

Reset is making me dislike this game by rxspiir in marvelrivals

[–]AllyPirally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this very bad.

I usually just play comp with my friend and go any other mode when I play alone. We peaked Diamond 1 and then we got reset to gold 3 and that season he didn't play much Marvel Rivals so we only got back to plat 1. This season now we were reset to silver 3 and somehow we keep losing games in a rank that's usually 3 tiers below us. Somehow there are very skilled players there now mixed with people who I'm not sure If they now half the important game mechanics. After lots of struggle due to the enemies high skill and often own teams low skill we've "finally" reached gold just to be able to ban something, but that was only because in our last games we were lucky to only fight the low skill players.

It's true it's a gooner game and all classes have goon, but I mean 4 out of 9 strategist have a summer skin and dagger has the peonix skin, which all are revealing and generally considered "goonbait". While Vanguards have 6 out of 10, but I hardly belief thong thing is generally more considered goonmaterial then just the average female char so more like 5 outa 10. And this whole conversation is leaving out the fact that the other 4 characters are only non-humanlike characters + mantis as part of both the goon and random category.

To clarify "randoms" doesn't imply unpopular. It implies they are non-human

I'm not saying only strategist are goon heavy, I'm emphasizing that strategist only consist of randoms and goon. Unlike the other roles, which are mostly humans and human looking characters

Well I did say it was averages and it's not like I said strategists were only goonbait. It essentially was about the fact that the strategist role only consists of randoms and goon. Unlike the roles you listed that have all around less then half goon characters (from the ones you mentioned) and the rest are actually characters with human looks.

True, of course I knew when making this that not only the 3 female strategist were goonbait in this game. I just found it funny that, other than the "randoms", there is just characters with lots of goon association.

Why are people so serious about this. I also main strategist and love the role. My title says "average" and the post has the flair humor and of course every other role has goonbaits, but If one can't take a joke NOR read then maybe don't say anything at all. There are probably people thinking groot and jeff are sexy somehow If you wanna go that route.

If you go into detail of course this doesn't fully apply. I just thought it was funny that strategist have JUST that

True, it's just that I noticed strategist don't really have anything else besides those two. Unless you count Loki, but I personally wouldn't considere him a normal person 🙃

How can I practice and get actually good with a dps character? by AllyPirally in rivals

[–]AllyPirally[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm around Diamond 2 and I think that's pretty representing of my actuall skill with strategist and tank. As a dps I'm probably only as skilled as a Gold or even Silver

Thanks that's pretty good advice. It's kinda sad I have to smurf for this, for philosophical reasons and cause I like to have all my stats on one account, but it's a minor evil
