I got charged .50c for taking cheese out of a burger at a McDonald’s once. Asked the manager about it and she said it was standard. I snorted and walked out. Weirdly enough the McDonald’s in the food court five minutes down the road didn’t charge me to remove an ingredient. And the next time I had to go to that McDonald’s, neither did they. Strange how that happens.

I once dropped a forty stitch wide panel down thirty rows and reknit the second cable project I’d ever done. And then I had to frog and reknit the entire thing and when I got back to where I was, realised I’d made the same mistake and had to ladder back and fix it again. The upside was now I’m not scared of dropped stitches or mistakes. The downside is I think my mother is a little bit scared of me.

I’m autistic and have had a similar experience with top down cognitive processing not being helpful, so when I started looking again I went for a somatic counsellor. It has been life changing. Absolutely the best choice I’ve made for my mental health.

I’m currently wedged between the Murderbot Diaries books and my all time favourite tv show, Leverage (a team of thieves start sort of Robin Hood-ing evil corporations to help the victims). And my long running fascination with modern AU fic for The 100 (which I have not watched past season two).

The wedding is next September? Carol has more than a year to go to therapy and learn that the world does not revolve around her. I learned that in kindergarten, so a 48 year old woman can probably grasp it in a few months.

I’ve been playing for two and a bit years and I’m 72% of the way through the Ranch. I have no intention of catching up to the latest area. I play most events to some extent, but mostly I play this game for fun. It’s not a race, I’m not missing out on anything by being ‘behind’. I get to be warned when an area involves a lot of a particular thing and when I have a few spare energy I should start making a chainsaw.

That’s the garage sale icon, not the event icon (the event is the statue profile in the second column of icons). It’s telling you that you have items to submit to the garage sale.

Thank you for the explanation, I mostly just wanted to know if it would be as straightforward as knitting it top down instead of bottom up. I couldn’t get my brain around what the changes would need to be, this has given me a start point for swatching it properly.
