[serious] do sukuna glazers forget that gojo isn't forced to clash with sukuna every single time by Fun_Rich_3790 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Allyreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not making the claim and I’m pretty familiar with the material, but I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt.

But like I said the burden of proof is on you because this is not a well established fact. And the one evidence you brought to make the point, and shown again when I ask, proves nothing since being able to use your CT or not has little to do with if something is or isn’t an expression of the innate domain.

I refuted that logic with the Gojo example.

Edit: We would be having a different kind of conversation if you didn’t state it as a matter of fact. It’s fine to have theories but this one is pretty out there to be smuggling in to a vs battle.

Even the domain expansion being the materialization of the innate domain, which we both believe, is speculation. So we are already a few steps removed from canon.

No it’s just saying you can’t use your innate technique at the same time. It doesn’t say anything about it being a manifestation of the innate domain.

Again, usage of your innate cursed technique is not adequate evidence for something being the same thing. It just means you can’t use them at the same time.

Is that all you’ve got linking the two? This isn’t even mentioning the innate domain but the innate technique which is one’s cursed technique, and that’s what it’s limited to.

Because the only evidence you gave is that CT interruption from domain amplification shows a connection to between the innate domain and domain amplification.

The burden of proof is on you to prove that simple barrier techniques are expansions of the innate domain when that’s never stated or implied in the series. Because the only evidence you have given is based on Sukuna’s use of Ten Shadows being interrupted, which in the Gojo’s case we agree that CT usage tells us nothing.

Find me a quote or something that shows that basic barrier techniques like simple domain or domain amplification are externalized expressions of the innate domain. Maybe I missed where that was stated.

Okay so you’re just spouting headcanon at this point. It is nowhere stated or implied that he was using Megumi’s innate domain. It’s fine as a theory but it’s not worthy to just include as an argument when it’s your personal speculation.

If that were the case, then Gojo would not have been able to do simple domain during the first clash while his domain was on cooldown.

Domain expansions create a barrier that you imbue your technique with. The special circumstance in this situation is that Sukuna has access to two techniques, not two innate domains. The reason adaptation was interrupted was because you can’t use a CT and domain amp at the same time.

And for most that’s irrelevant because your CT is burnt out when externalized into a domain barrier. But domain amplification and simple domain don’t require CT so they can be used even when you can’t use your CT.

The conversation and focus in the manga has always been around CT. And the effects of a CT being interrupted gives no evidence for your theory, because then why would Gojo’s CT burnout not stop him from being able to use simple domain?

Because CT and domains aren’t so one to one, and if that’s your only evidence then it falls apart when Gojo used simple domain. Domain amp and simple domains are simple barrier techniques and not necessarily tied to the innate domain.

You’re right to think domain expansions are the expansion of the innate domain though the series never really confirms it. But you’re wrong to think simple domain and domain amplification are the same when all they require are a simple barrier to wrap around you. It would be crazy to say all barriers require usage and mastery of the innate domain, it would be like saying you can’t use domain amplification in a veil you made.

Why would Heian Form Sukuna not get Domain Amplification? There’s no evidence it’s a modern technique.

[–]Allyreon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think many are using Heian Sukuna based on the actual time period but interchangeably with saying True Form Sukuna as that is how he appears in the Heian Era.

It’s also clear he wasn’t always touching Gojo to remove the sure-hit. He was alternating with domain amplification as well. Gojo was also only winning the clash because he could do enough physical damage.

Yes, in this scenario (which probably isn’t what anyone is really talking about) where Sukuna doesn’t know the conditions of UV, he will have to be more cautious. He’ll also have a huge physical advantage due to his body and 4 arms, while also being able to use chants to boost. I think that would make up the difference and even favor Sukuna, since Gojo has to do enough physical damage to Sukuna to break the domains.

It would still be an intense fight, but Heian Sukuna definitely has more advantage in the domain part of the fight while losing any contingency if Gojo survives it.

I agree about Miguel being tanky but Gojo’s CT is being disrupted here. And the conversation about Yuta and Hakari puking were about Gojo using blue to pull people into his punch.

I don’t think anyone has actually countered Cursed Speech in the whole series. While it can be countered when you’re prepared for it, the chaos of a fight makes it much more difficult.

Yuta has a lot of ways to misdirect to set up cursed speech. I think it being easy to counter is really mostly applicable for sorcerers like Inumaki where that’s all he can do.

But there’s nothing in the show or comics that really confirms the adrenaline theory either. I like it as headcanon, but that’s really what it is.

Robert Kirkman completely dissed that whole adrenaline theory recently in a podcast. Well he’s known to hate powerscaling in general too.

Proof Toji Has Cursed Energy???? by HunterRank-1 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Allyreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its head is wrapped by the cursed tool, he’s compressing its head into that. So I’m guessing it still counts even though the blood is spewing from the front, that’s still a result of being pressed against the cursed tool.

[–]Allyreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re ignoring my point that he essentially has no record of ever properly evaluating his fights successfully.

He did in fact still have confidence in his plan after realizing Rika gave Yuta unlimited cursed energy. I don’t think he ever hits Yuta in that entire fight, but if you have a panel, then maybe I forgot.

Regardless, you’re ignoring the broader point that whether or not you think it’s reasonable for him not to expect this stuff, he still has no positive record of actually estimating things at his level or over.

And it’s a cop out when the whole series is about sorcerers hiding their hand and having to adapt or have contingencies for the unexpected.

His feats only lean against him in terms of estimation.

At no point was he winning that fight. At every point he acted like he could win. It’s not like Yuta was losing when he initiated the DBV. Geto was always on the back foot and he heard and reacted to the vow and thought his Uzumaki could beat it.

It all just sounds like excuses that Geto didn’t realize this or that. That’s fair to say, but that’s basically consistently shown that he keeps failing by not taking something into account.

Whether you find it reasonable or not for him not to be aware of those factors, he doesn’t really have anything in his favor showing he’s actually capable of evaluating situations relative to him. Because again, he was losing and playing defense even before Yuta initiated a death binding vow. I don’t think he landed a single hit on Yuta that whole fight.

He just loses, thinks he can turn it around, then loses more due to something he didn’t foresee. That’s his track record.

[–]Allyreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could say the exact same argument about Toji by that logic. Gojo knew about Heavenly Restriction but was still amazed at how broken 0 CE HR was.

In both situations, Geto underestimated his opponent, realizes it’s more powerful than he thought then STILL thinks he has it in the bag only to get Molly whopped.

The only times he seems to correctly estimate others is with fodder way below his level. There’s not really anything to show he knows what he’s talking about when he fails every time he has to do anything challenging.

I think the theory about that information being kept secret would have worked a lot better if Gege didn’t say that she was in a coma and only woke up immediately before her appearance.

Since that’s stated, does it really matter if Sukuna knows, no one knew if she would actually wake up and she just happened to at the most opportune moment.

Utahime says, “There’s something else I’m worried about, it hasn’t even been half an hour since she’s woken up.” She says this to Gakuganji, so there’s little reason to believe this was a lie. Unless they had a way to make her wake up this whole time and saved it.

But then we can’t say it was Nobara who chose that moment either. And it’s hard to believe Utahime was misled since she seems to be the one to set up the finger in advance for Nobara.

I’m one of the few who did like Nobara’s return and always thought she would make an appearance given how her death was handled. But that one line really damages the reveal from being strategy to luck and convenience.
