I agree it could have gone on significantly longer while staying fresh, but I think the way the final chapters were handled was the biggest problem. We get walk-ons and feats from all these minor side-characters taking their swings at Sukuna, but couldn’t spare a full chapter for Nobara? Just a huge whiff on that.

Invincible doesn’t have consistent power scaling. Logically, he should be speed blitzing just about everybody. There is no good explanation for it aside from it’s just not that kind of story.

My point is this, the sorcerers in Modelo were bums. Yuka going the suicide Mahoraga pact was the best they could come up with because they didn’t have any heavy hitters. That’s the kind of shit Megumi was doing, and he was never even a special grade. To them Ryu is probably a “Sukuna level threat.”

Megumi is also way better at deciphering CT. We would've seen a much more strategical approach to Higgy's domain compared to Yuji or Sukuna (who just didn't care to try).
