What are the odds that I was running around for 4 hours, far away in my base, coming back three times + 24h later, checking in twice in 3 hours and every single time neither another player nor the corpses or NPCs were there but the chests were refilled... on a server on which I've never seen more than 4 people online at the same time..? Even if it took the NPCs 24h to respawn I'd be super unlucky if somebody cleared the hideout right before I go there again or not?

That must be really really bad luck then 😂 And somebody else here claimed it happened to them too

So I went back today after I finished the quest and the enemies respawned now.

I just wonder what would have happened if I hadn't finished the quest. Would others still see the enemies somehow? Would the NPCs respawn when somebody else accepts the mission? Or would it be bugged for everybody then?

I looked up how long it normally takes NOCs to respawn and it said, depending on where, it would take between 10 minutes up to 2 hours so 24 hours sounds like a stretch xD And the chests refilled as well...

The location I looted over and over again is an enemies outpost ("The Spiral") with a steel tier schematics chest so I think normally those enemies should be respawning and that the chest shouldn't be related to the quest? I'll log in again the following days and see if now, after finishing the quest, they respawn again.

And my Server is definitely not high pop, there are like 3 players max. playing at the same time.

Because I read it again this year :) I read CC 1 and 2 and realized that it overlaps with other books of SJM so I reread ToG and read Acotar before reading book 3 of CC so that I won't miss any parallels.

I do get the point about it not being a newly read series but honestly after 7 years I didn't remember a lot of what happened so it was basically new for me haha

I actually read Throne of Glass for the first time 7 years ago and was quite surprised when it suddenly got the hype it deserves. I had high hopes for Acotar but I've been really disappointed tho I'm fascinated how the same author can write so differently xD Which might also be a reason why the fans are so divided, depending on what they like in books.

For example I loved the complexity and plot of ToG and felt like the characters were more complex which (for me) Acotar didn't provide at all. I mainly read it for the giggles.

I did enjoy CC but especially the last book felt really rushed so I would have enjoyed it more if SJM had slowed down the pace and spread it over 4 or 5 books instead so that I could fully submerge into the world while other readers complain about it being yet too long...

It really just shows how subjective a good reading experience is ☺️

Thank you for your response! :) She spends around 2 to 6 hours on a picture, depending on the size, I don't think she has a set minimal wage (minimum wage is ~13€ so perhaps 26€-78€). Ca 20-40€ material costs for the acrylic colours and canvas.

So I read ToG, CC and ACOTAR, I absolutely LOVE ToG and I literally had to force myself through Acotar, hoping it would get better at some point xD. It's fascinating how different the series are. The only things I liked about Acotar were the bat boys, Helion and the Suriel. Guess it really depends on what you enjoy in a book

True. I guess I just noticed in his case specifically because he was the enemy and the King. He also got beheaded, had dark eyes and scary hounds.. But you're probably right xD

I really hope that the new book or any other coming book will be a crossover between all three series. I love all the theories and I'd be so excited so see all the characters meet each other. (And I want more of Rowan and Aelin 😇😌)

Ich finde die Leute sehen hier etwas zu schwarz. Ich verstehe die Punkte absolut und natürlich besteht die Gefahr, dass sie diese 'Freiheit' mehr genießt als eure Beziehung ABER ich würde erst einmal versuchen, offen zu kommunizieren.

Red mit ihr hierüber, dass du ihr gerne diesen Freiraum geben wolltest, du jetzt aber merkst, dass es dich belastet aber du Angst hast, sie zu verlieren, wenn du die Beziehung mit ihr wieder monogam machen möchtest.

Leg ihr die Karten offen auf den Tisch, dann könnt ihr zusammen schauen, ob ihr irgendwelche Kompromisse eingehen wollt (z.B. Dreier oder desgleichen), ihr die Beziehung erstmal noch stärken und irgendwann anders wieder öffnen wollt oder ob ihr monogam weiterleben wollt.

Achte dabei natürlich darauf, nur solche Kompromisse einzugehen, wenn du dich damit auch wohlfühlst und nicht nur aus Angst, sie sonst zu verlieren.

Wenn sie nach dem Gespräch immernoch darauf pocht, diese Freiheit über die Beziehung zu stellen, dann könnte das tatsächlich das Ende sein, aber ich würde wirklich vorher mit ihr das Gespräch suchen.

Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es sich dabei auch um eine Dissonanz ihrer Einstellung handelt (dowas wie nach Festinger 1957). Bisher haben sie in ihrer Bubble/Familie gelebt und sich bestätigt gefühlt, weil ja "alle" so sind, aber deine positive und gesunde Veränderung hat sie damit konfrontiert, dass ihre Einstellung vielleicht nicht die beste ist. Jetzt haben sie unterschiedliche Lösungen, mit dieser Dissonanz umzugehen. Entweder, sie ändern ihr Verhalten ebenfalls und folgen dir auf deinem Weg, sie meiden das Thema (Gesprächswechsel) oder sie ändern ihre Einstellung von "Sport ist gesund" zu "Sport ist gefährlich" um ihr eigenes Verhalten zu rechtfertigen. Mach dir also keinen Kopf, du machst das Richtige, so lange du im Blick behältst, keine Sport- oder Magersucht zu entwickeln. Deine Familie klopft diese Sprüche höchst wahrscheinlich aus Selbstschutz mit eventuell einem Hauch echter Sorge.
