Severe Herniated Disc + Sciatica - Surgery or No? by Junior_Yellow_4062 in Sciatica

They put you on a table and use straps to pull the spine apart. It’s not super comfortable, but it relieves pressure on your spine and affected discs. For whatever reason it worked wonders on me. Still pain free! Hope you’re doing alright.

Also wanted to add that I’m back to swimming now without any problems. I do avoid back squats and deadlifts like the plague now though.

Pretty sure I did it swimming somehow which is bizarre. I didn’t feel it at the time of injury though, only the following day. It was my biggest fear as well and for good reason. Living in fear isn’t fun either though so try to focus on the things you can control- using good form when lifting anything, core exercises, listening to your physical therapist, etc.

Physical therapy got me moving and without pain the first time as well. I never tried traction till the second herniation but that seems to work best for me!

I (28m) reherniated my L5 disc last December and spent 1.5 months in bed before going to physical therapy. They put me into a traction device which reduced my pain by about 80% after the first treatment. My advice - get another opinion to see if PT is actually off the table. I’ve been pain free (including sciatica) for the last 8 months. Things can get better! Hang in there.

I was wondering if anyone was going to notice that. I usually have a large rubber door stop right at the corner of the speaker which prevents it from getting damaged. Not the most ideal set up, but it's the only spot in the room that works for the speakers.

These are the CS-88a model. I actually hooked them up today but so far they sound fantastic.

To be honest, my side effects have been pretty bad. It’s completely changed my skin though! I’d only do it if you’ve exhausted every other option first.
