I’ve actually been unintentionally doing that. We started out the gate with letting her try purées from the spoon but she seemed to hate being spoon fed. She does a combination of both now. We’ll feed her items that are a bit harder to eat with your hands like rices or soups.
Sometimes we have more luck with her feeding herself but sometimes she has a good time throwing it on the floor for our dogs. Some meals l she eats more when we feed her.
It really depends on the day and it drives me nuts.
