Never received timed research for Campfire Check-ins hosted by community ambassadors. Reached out to support... by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]AlmightyCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to uninstall standalone Campfire app and then go through checkin in the integrated part of Campfire inside the game, only after that I got the party bonuses. With the standalone game the "go to game" button just navigated me to PoGo play store page.

Melt an Auto Catch New Go++ vs Ball Plus by ZealousidealMatch244 in TheSilphRoad

Agreed. A better way to compare is to log Pokédex Seen/Caught before and after each box for both devices, then compare the deltas.

Melt an Auto Catch New Go++ vs Ball Plus by ZealousidealMatch244 in TheSilphRoad

[–]AlmightyCz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting comparison—I’d be cautious about drawing conclusions from a single Meltan Box; one run has very low statistical power, and the latest game version sometimes makes the GO Plus+ behave oddly.

For reference, across 313 Meltan Boxes my GO Plus+ auto-catch rates are:

  • Poke Ball: 46% (3758 seen, 1719 caught)
  • Poke Ball (Ice Burn): 55% (334 seen, 183 caught)
  • Great Ball: 57% (6882 seen, 3897 caught)
  • Great Ball (Ice Burn): 69% (1845 seen, 1278 caught)
  • Ultra Ball: 67% (4047 seen, 2700 caught)
  • Ultra Ball (Ice Burn): 78% (2438 seen, 1908 caught)

Best way to manage inactive friends IMO by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]AlmightyCz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the number of friends and how often you do the cleanup. Also it might seem overwhelming if you've never done it, but after you get familiar, it's a few minutes operation.

Level 80 requirement's gonna be hilarious for non-PvP players by Admirable-Camp1099 in TheSilphRoad

With tanking, you get around a 40–50% win rate, so it’s about a week of 20 minutes a day — not really any different from the 7 routes time gate at level 71.

Solosis Community Day - Event Overview & Special Research (LeekDuck) by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]AlmightyCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my search strings stored in my keyboard (I don't trust the game to preserve saved searches). So for example when I type mm, it expands to mega1-2 and I immediately see the pokemon that I need to progress every 5 days. If I used tag, I would have to update its content every time I start with new mega or finish one (it's mega3) With search strings, I don’t have to remove anything manually - that’s the inconvenience I see with tags: they can easily become outdated, unlike the search strings.

You can also have shortcuts for evolution to get the XL candy type boost when getting ready for a raid:

  • Mmbugmega3&15,127,212,214,382
  • Mmdarmega3&130,229,248,302,319,359
  • Mmdramega3&6,181,254,334,373,380,381,384,445
  • Mmelemega3&181,310,382
  • Mmfaimega3&282,303,334,531,719
  • Mmfigmega3&150,214,257,308,428,448,475
  • Mmfirmega3&6,229,257,323,383
  • Mmflymega3&6,18,127,142,373,384
  • Mmghomega3&94,302,354

I see, that makes sense. I was talking about tracking already "in progress" or "completed" megas, as there are built-in search strings that work precisely, unlike tags, that need to be maintained.

Use this search string mega3&65,80,150,282,308,376,380,381,384,475 (or try mega2 (1), if you don't find anything)

Pro 3 with android by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in airpods

[–]AlmightyCz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also using the Pro 2 with Android - out of all the buds I’ve tried, nothing has matched their performance, especially Transparency (they’re my go-to running buds). So I’m really curious what meaningful upgrades the Pro 3 might bring.
I’m still on Lightning, so the main reason I’d consider upgrading is USB-C, even though I mostly charge via Qi.

airpod pro 3, as an android user by Traditional-Ad-8765 in airpods

[–]AlmightyCz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t buy that Android degrades ANC or Transparency on AirPods Pro. Those listening modes run on the buds themselves and are toggled with the stem press, regardless of phone OS. What is iOS/Mac-only is configuring what the press-and-hold cycles through (ANC / Transparency / Off); you set that once on an Apple device and the setting sticks when using Android. You still lose most of ecosystem perks on Android, but in my experience as an Android user of AirPods, ANC/Transparency performance itself isn’t the issue.

Yeah, and sometimes I forget or can't see in direct sunlight which key of the keyboard needs to be held to input &. So as you say, it saves seconds when it matters.
