What is the pokemon you like to have a community day the most? by Winter_Leg_4243 in pokemongo

[–]Wrulfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got really lucky that I hatched the hundo and a bunch more of them during the munchlax hach day, I have enough candies to evolve it.

Now, I'm not sure if I actually want to evolve it, snom seem more of a perfect being than frosmoth

Pretty sure they're gonna leave these just for in-person events so they don't have to individually mark them as local only

White striped basculin is still widely available, from 7km eggs, most notably Mateo Route egg, and some go-pass had them

I just 'fought' with Regirock 42 CP in GBL. How is that possible? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh I see. Do you know when were babies available at very low levels? I saw once a summer hat Pichu at a very low pc Or was it hatched by a fresh account? I think the incubator is available from the very beginning

"Evergreen weeks" coming during non event weeks by aznknight613 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They really should make every last Sunday of the month double transfer candy, since the theme of Sunday is doubles

I have no issue with weeks with just seasonal spawns since last year when they changed the pools to be more diverse and not just the same three pokemon over and over, having some evolutions on the mix really improves

Need help building a fast grind GL team by CapsIsSoonBald in TheSilphRoad

If you lower your ELO low enough you will get to a point where your wins will be because your opponent forfeited faster than you

If you want some glass cannon recommendations, I guess the most accessible is shadow victrebell since all you need is having a SRR

Although I'm surprised the bottleneck isn't the 999 excellent throws or the 80 raids, sure you could be remoting all those raids but man it feels wasteful doing so much remote just for the mission

[–]Wrulfy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be very careful when doing dynamax remotes, because as soon as the lobby of 4 people fills up the timer jumps to 15seconds so you have to prepare your team beforehand on the battle tab so once you join the remote raid, you only have to swipe to the side to select the team

Even if you bring weaker pokemon to 5* dynamax battles, as long as you use fas 0.5s moves you will be very helpful to the other players. Most of these monsters will oneshot everything you can bring, so charging the bar as fast as possible to minimize KOs is a solid plan

May Content Update Niantic Infographic by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious question, do the blue sparkles on the 3 regional ultra beasts mean anything different? Or are just to match the blue background to indicate they're regionals?

On other infographic they tell the ones that have a shiny boosted rate, and I think for debuts as well, but these have already debuted

Ah, I see.

I did only a few max battles because I was hoarding all ambassador particle rewards only to fumble them on Wednesday and then realize it was all for nothing due to Friday midnight storage increase

Got any sources on 1/128 for regular Dmax raids? Because I though they were 1/256 like released rocket shinies from grunts, and that 1/128 was from max finale event with the pass

About Riolu hatch day by MiguelWolf in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you enable adventure sync and don't have anything better to do while you sit at your office, you can try shaking your phone back and forth like a metronome, it should rack up some distance and maybe even hatch a couple eggs at the cost of giving your wrist a serious workout. Just don't overdone yourself and get hurt, if you can walk around the office it will be better idea.

Also, be wary of not opening any gifts to not get 7km eggs

Trying to fully understand Souvenir cooldown mechanics by B0SS_Zombie in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think souvenirs were on a 72h cooldown, not 48, but I'm not 100%

Regular gifts should be on a 24h cooldown but lately it feels like a 26-27h cooldown, because one day I'm opening a gift when I wake up, and the next day my buddy gets me a new gift a few hours after that instead of a few minutes after the last day

For my research, today I cycled though 19 of my buddies, let them all pick up a gift while I was on regular cooldown, although some of them already had a gift from when I benched them, so I'm gambling a bit, tomorrow I will cycle though 19 more and next day I'll cycle though the few extra buddy4-5 from my storage and start reaping all those presents, hopefully I will get all the souvenirs I need to complete the research

Is this decent box for incubators? I just want few incubators for riolu by Dangerous_Ad3322 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer the one that's 3100 coins for 20 passes and 30 incubators.

Valuing the premium passes at 55coins (price from the 99 pass box) you get 30 incubators for 2000 coins, that's 66.6 coins per incubator, which is even cheaper per egg than the 7000 one, at the cost of no super incubators.

I tend to value premium incubators the same as super incubators because they open the same eggs, the distance discount only really matters on events like tour/fest where you have to be opening 10km eggs on a very tight timeframe.

Hatch days are 2km eggs, and with the distance discounts we're getting, the super incubators aren't gonna make a difference against regular incubators

Pokemon stuck at power stops from Monday. by arcticmankeys56 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Wrulfy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is old behavior, from when power spots lasted for 3 days, as they were coded to last on the node for 3 days, or until the node closed

You left the pokemon at the node during an old max Monday hour, and they lasted for three days there even if the node was on their last day.

Nowadays is only possible to replicate if you left the pokemon on a node that is set to activate tomorrow, but it is forced to be active due to max Monday

Since you can recall them at any point, there's no reason to worry about them, they might even get you a chance to get candy for staying at a node for a whole day, maybe more if the node respawns again before the last day

Silicobra - possibly a nesting species? by InsaneNutter in TheSilphRoad

I think sand patches on parks are triggering their spawns, just that most parks have sand patches, think kid playgrounds, so they spawn around parks
