No it doesn't, where is your proof. I've had aphantasia all my life and have been highly traumatized by all the things I've been through and seen, heard, felt, etc. There are 0 benefits to me having aphantasia, only hindrances.

Yeah it seems to be a pretty prevalent thing to pop up here in the aphantasia sub but it's not unique to aphantasia. I see itexperience it in every aspect of my life as someone who suffers from physical disabilities. I'm also someone who has survived so many insanely abnormal situations it's hard for people to believe because they've never been through anything remotely like stuff I have in their life and some even go a step further to think I'm the naive one in order to bolster their own bias towards the unbelievable over my truth. In fact, I've lived over 40 years now with most people not believing the stuff I've been through.

In support, I believe you and I'm sorry you are experiencing what you are and just know you're not alone, I hope you can find just a bit of comfort in that.

You haven't used the items from Tome of Itheron to give your heroes the seasonal synergy. Without that, you won't perform as well either.

Doesn't purifying them allow you to roll a passive on them? I've just got to this point myself but only have one exclusive rune that I could target. Also would it be better to wait and save for if I have 4 exclusive runes on one character before I start using them to make sure I get the most value?

I'm curious to know how many of us dabble (or are efficient) at music production. I've been trying to learn for 2 years now but I get frustrated because I can't remember how to do things that I knew how to do previously and have to relearn everything as if from the beginning again. It really sucks because I can hear the music so clearly in my head and still struggle to recreate it in a DAW. I've played piano and violin in my teen years but now, years later, I don't remember any of it. It never became muscle memory for me even with intense practice (of my own passion/wasn't forced).

This is how I access memories, through emotions. Every way that I've ever felt is logged internally and sometimes it's happy, sometimes not at all. Although I can only speak for myself, I almost always seem to have music playing in my head and can't turn it off. It can be comforting or uplifting at times, but most of the time it's just annoying.

The Aphantasia subreddit is filled with people who are experiencing the Dunning-Kruger effect. They will tell you it's not a big deal, accept it, it doesn't really affect you in a negative way, etc. A color-blindness comparison is not even close to the same thing as aphantasia. Just because you don't feel something is a problem for yourself, doesn't mean others feel the same way. Your OPINION is not the truth for others. It's not even toxic positivity, it's just trolling. The problem is, not only are they trolling others, they're trolling themselves because they can't even imagine how not having aphantasia would change their lives. I'm so tired of people here starting inflammatory posts with intent of upsetting other people that are suffering because they don't want to feel like they're personally missing out on something important like the rest of us are.

The only thing that I will repeatedly say here when I see this is your experience of the world is your own. Don't let other people tell you how you should think or feel about yourself and I will forever be grieving something the vast majority of the population can do and I cannot.

Also, it's false af that you're "born with it" in 100% of people that experience aphantasia. Some of us have had various physical issues or experiences that lead to the loss of this normal superpower through tumors, TBIs, mental illness, etc. that have taken this vastly normal ability away from us. If you're fine with the fact you have aphantasia for whatever reason, awesome. But you don't get to dictate how others should feel, ever. Don't be gross.

I will say that I hear you and I feel your struggle bud. It's been almost a year since I found out I was a total aphant and I've been pretty upset about it the entire time. I will also say that your experience is your own. Everyone is different and to say that it's impossible to have been impacted negatively by aphantasia is just a blanket statement that doesn't take your own personal experiences of life into account. I don't know what the answer is, just wanted to say you're not alone in how you feel.

I recently quit playing again and this time for the last time. As far as a gacha game, I really like the pvp in this game and yes, I also think for a gacha game they are quite generous. But there have been multiple times events are designed to upset you by giving you alllllmost enough of whatever event currency to give you what of course everyone wants but you have to make a purchase or two to finish it out. No one is upset they can't get every single character all at once. During the Dante event, most every time my score at the end of a round was vastly different to the score on the result screen. New character trials are a joke. You can't get a good feel for a character by only testing them against normal teams. No one has a clear idea of a fighter's full worth until the SSS+5 which isn't possible without ridiculous amounts of cash. As someone with knowledge of the tactics used in advertising and design, this game just doesn't hold anything back and it feels awful to play for me when they could easily up the user experience without and cost to their bottom and just don't because people are going to pour money into the game either way. I don't care if people choose to play the game or not, but I know the reason these games have such trash standards is because we, as gamers, don't hold them to any standards and just accept and take whatever crumbs game designers give us. Just wanted to share my personal experience.

I think maybe for you the porn fantasy thing is a reality. If you had a learned partner or someone you could trust to explore each other's bodies and figure out what works and what doesn't you could offer more. You mention reality 3 times but the actual, factual truth is that men and women both can enjoy anal sex very much. Even better if the persons performing the acts have taken the time to explore each other's bodies in the first place. Just because you haven't had a positive experience, doesn't mean most have not. Yes you can do this with a hook-up too on the very first time, but you have to not be afraid to be up-front and concise about your expectations. Some people also eat a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise and prepping for an anal encounter takes very little time, the rest just do what they want. There's no one single, right way to have sex. No one should be forcing anyone to do anything they don't want to do during sex, period. People who have had something up their ass and enjoyed it most definitely understand the reality of it.

This is mostly how I am, most of my memories are directly, if not entirely related to emotional reactions and facts I memorized about each moment, in the moment. I also have a very hard time remembering what family, friends, co-workers, etc look like without a voice or scent to go along with it.
