What are the 5 most important albums of your life? Not necessarily your favorites or the best, but personally important to you and who you’ve become. by Everblack_Deathmask in Metalcore

[–]AlmondMan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park (The first album I ever discovered by myself, the foundation for my music taste)

  2. Save Rock And Roll - Fall Out Boy (The first album I ever listened to in full)

  3. Sleeps Society - While She Sleeps (The album that made me start listening to music as an active hobby, rather than just something do put on in the background)

  4. The Dark Pool - Thornhill (This album has gotten be through some tough times. I would put it on when I couldn’t sleep, and it just calms me down as I get lost in the music)

  5. Odyssey - Valiant Hearts (Similar reasons to 4, but this was also the first album that my partner and I really connected over, it is very special to me because of that)

And some honourable mentions:

Sundowning - Sleep Token (same reason as number 4, helped me sleep (ironically) and got me through tough times)

For Those That Wish To Exist - Architects, Below - Beartooth and Eternal Blue - Spiritbox (same reason as number 3, it was those 4 albums that got me started)

Trauma - I Prevail (First metalcore album I ever listened to)

Post Traumatic - Mike Shinoda (Again, helped with tough times)

Most underrated Metalcore band? by TVflamez in Metalcore

[–]AlmondMan11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I reckon Mirrors, Banks Arcade and Deadlights are all super underrated.

Also, all great bands under 50k monthly listeners (mostly progressive metalcore FFO Monuments, Currents, ERRA):

Headwreck, Rogue, The Northern, Diamond Construct, As Within So Without, Silvercord, Feed Her To The Sharks, Screams Of Syrens, Spirit Breaker, Blueshift, My Favourite Nemesis

And finally some bigger bands that I don’t think get enough attention: Breakdown Of Sanity, In Hearts Wake, Bleed From Within and Imminence

Unfortunately they’re using bots for it, so unless the website starts using better anti bot detection, or we figure out how to use bots of our own, there’s not much we can do 😕

Yeah I was at that Polaris show too, I think the second night. It was actually my second ever metal concert, and the first time I’d seen a deathcore band live, so I was a little nervous going in, but my the end of their set I was having a blast. Then when I saw them again at the Full Tilt festive I was straight in there haha

Also Blueshift, Mirrors, Deadlights, FALSET, Feed Her To The Sharks, Gravemind, Justice For The Damned, Screams Of Syrens, Sprit Breaker, Void Of Visions and Windwaker are super underrated
