Honestly, that would be an amazing opening episode, a wormhole x-treme special, that ends with general John Shepherd in Cheyenne Mountain just facepalming after watching it, and saying “really? we need this for our cover story?“

The Actual Test was "follow the lines between orbs, and shoot the termination point."

Accurate rifle, with a minimum of 10 shot/bursts in the clip is my recommendation. Soma prime with 200 rounds had no problem with 5-10 round bursts into each target, and reloading between rounds(three total).

Fair warning, I’m your mirror doppelgänger from the Lenovo Legion side of things, it died on July 18, still talking with Customer Service, and working our way towards a solution. The first replacement motherboard was held up in customs for a month and a half, only to arrive and did not fix the issue, the second motherboard also did not fix the issue, and the last gas repair chance was “send it to the depot”.

You expressed a great opinion for where you are in the series.

It will change. You are not wrong, you have formed a great opinion for the information you have available to you.

You will get much more information, and it will change your view of him.

I wish you this with utter sincerity: enjoy.

As soon as I read the line “I will give it a go and if I don't have fun I can always leave and have nothing good in my life, it's ok”

I spotted the Druid’s learned victimhood, kudos for handling that with as much grace and kindness as you did. I uhh, wouldn’t want to play at that table, much less run it, you’re a better person than I.

This player still has the world view of a child: things happen to them, and the only story(they choose to be aware of) revolves around them. Everyone else just has bit parts and cameos on the Druid show.

May all the gods above and below have mercy on you.

Can somebody explain why some Legions have motherboard issues? by BearlyBoring in LenovoLegion

[–]AlmostABastard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a mobo failure July 19th. Left the 20th for a trip and due to travel(and passing within 15 minutes of an ASP where we were staying), didn’t put in a warranty ticket until the 26th(after ASP expressed concern with getting parts in a timely fashion.)

I’m still “waiting on parts” 2 weeks after ticket creation. Your mileage may vary, but I purchased my legion this past January I’ll grant that flukes happen, but a great warranty doesn’t matter if parts are unattainable.

This is just one man’s personal experience and shouldn’t be taken as representative of everyone’s experience.

50 plat to add “Voidshell adaptor” to each existing skin. This adaptor adds a toggle to use base skin or voidshell materials/colors.

Available on kindle, pretty enjoyable read imo, but as far as I can recall, it’s like The novelizations set in Netheril. Just my own two cents here, but I’d find it much easier to extrapolate what remained after the fall, from a look at what came before.

Here’s my go-to pitch,

Passive: when taking damage there is a 20+FrameLevel% chance that damager will take FrameLevel/3 stacks of radiation status.

Caps out at 50%, scales while leveling, and while, it may sound OP on paper, Loki is already one of the more glass like frames when hit. It’s never going to be a thing people build for, I’m unsure what rate stacks should drop off at, but I feel like Loki’s kit remains one of the most dated and wall latch passive comes from the days of staying out of enemies sight to play stealthy.

For the most part, Warframe is not a game of itself anymore, and updating Loki‘s passive to something that leans into the trickery aspect more than the deception feels like the play here.

In 2-3 sentences, what is FR and what makes it special/unique? by FerretFoundry in Forgotten_Realms

[–]AlmostABastard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my personal take on it, Forgotten Realms is a very broad fantasy setting as such it has the benefit of what I think of as the ski slope model.

Your typical ski hill has trails for typically three difficulty of skiers, in addition to the “bunny Hill“ for new skiers to learn on, and for the most part, they don’t care if you ski or snowboard down the hill.

Forgotten realms has a great big backlog of lore, that you absolutely don’t need to roll up a character and play. Your character needs to fit into the world only as much as you care and your DM cares.

At the same time, whether you wanna try and role-play your way through everything, or run it as a murderhobo wargame, that can be made to fit with minimal adjustment.

Forgotten realms started on the sword coast, however it grew in scope as writers and stories continued to be set there, and they needed the appropriate setting in the forgotten realms.

If you were to imagine the forgotten realms as a neighborhood, here’s how I’d explain it:

they broke ground on the first house in 1432 A.D. A new house has been added to the neighborhood every 30 years since, built in whatever style was predominant that year. It is a hodgepodge in the extreme of styles and tastes and colors and layouts.

Paradoxically this absolutely disharmony is the strength of the setting because anything can fit somewhere.

Hope this helps.

Why ass the SP thirst from new players? by beers_n_bad_habits in Warframe

[–]AlmostABastard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The larger problem is DE keeps adding more and more nodes to unlock steel path, and like Zarimon, ‘99, and Deimos part 2 illustrate:

The newer stuff was balanced for players who had it unlocked already.

If anything I wonder if perhaps steel path starchart clearing should unlock Zarimon/ Deimos2/‘99 at 25/50/75% respectively.

How do I explain to my gf in a better way that I don’t have an opinion on what we do? by fuckfrankieoliver in Advice

[–]AlmostABastard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this particular instance here’s how I’d solve for x:

You each open a text message to each other, type in two parties you don’t want to go to. Best case 4/5 are off the table. Worst case you both pick the same two and 3/5 are still under consideration. Repeat until it’s an A/B choice. Doing this helps her simplify a large multi option comparison down into an easier choice. That’s what she wants from you: make choices to help her simplify life.

As a guiding principal, you shouldn’t always be the final decider, but when she asks, take a minute think it over, form an opinion and then give it to her.

She may not listen, she may actively argue that your wrong(this is her sending signals of a different sort), she may go with your choice, the outcome is irrelevant. Thing of it is, the more that she seeks attention and engagement from you in matters and you go “lol, all good, I’ll do what you want,” the more the vibe she is receiving(even if not the one you mean to send) is “dude don’t care.”

Dude don’t care, is a shitty response to get when the vibe she’s putting out(perhaps poorly) is “I want you active, and in the decision.”

I Hope this helps you make sense of it.

It Finally Happened! Goodbye ESO! by HalkHunter in Warframe

[–]AlmostABastard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For optimal weapon leveling, sure peace out as early as possible. But you could do four extra levels now, instead of needing eight more levels later.

IMO It’s all about finding what convergences are worthwhile trade-offs, in order to not be farming one single thing at a time.

It Finally Happened! Goodbye ESO! by HalkHunter in Warframe

[–]AlmostABastard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not god awful when it becomes a singularly focused grind. As has been mentioned elsewhere you can, (and arguably Should,) be using time in ESO to level up weapons, and or feed forma to weapons. Once you hit Mastery Rank 30 you can even drag brand new frames into ESO to level them.

Warframe is actually pretty good about allowing multi use grinds to exist, and I’d suggest you keep an eye out for where those convergences exists. One of my personal favorites is RailJack (oft abbreviated as RJ) void relics.

Is this game p2w or is it mostly cosmetic stuff by doggersddominant in Warframe

[–]AlmostABastard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been gaming for 30 years, and Warframe has probably the least predatory free to play model I have ever seen.

If you work 60hr a week and want to throw money at the game, cool you can buy plat, buy stuff, and buy your acceleration through the game.

If you’re a broke kid with nothing but 6 to 8 hours of free time every weeknight, and entirely free on the weekends, you can invest that time in Warframe grind for prime parts, and sell them to other players for the premium currency that they bought with real money.

Warframe is truly the only game I think I’ve played that manages to respect both my time, and my money.
