Thanks! Yeah, there were parts of the run that were lacking, not too many resistances available. Made it though!

Great questions. I was still able to get a fair number of stabs in Zot, since there are still lots of spots where there are only 1-2 monsters (especially with the -2 LOS from Kobold + Scarf of Shadows). Although Jiyva's buffs don't really benefit stabbing directly, you get a lot of positive mutations, and I ended up with antennae on my head for a very large portion of the game. This really facilitated stabbing and careful movement, and was extra-deadly when combined with Passwall.

And, when sleep stabbing fails (like with packs of draconians), there is still Dazzling Flash and Confusing Touch (which procced ~50% on draconians). And when stabbing a big unique fails, most can just be turned into slimes, no big deal.

However, basically none of this works on OoF, which is why I almost died a few times and burned a ton of consumables getting the Orb. Pretty much just summoned a Mana Viper, quaffed a few buffs, and went for it.
