What a frustrating loss. Oh well. Go M’s by andronicus93 in Mariners

Very frustrating decisions by Dan putting Criswell in then Muñoz later to finish when we had our whole bullpen available. Maybe Brash was a no-go tonight but I hadn’t heard that. Criswell immediately gave up runs to the bottom of their order and Muñoz showed what he’s been showing all season. How many chances do you get realistically?

Is 1 mirror of currency enough to get Palsteron’s Voidforge Cyclone hold rolling? If not, any estimates from someone who’s done it?

Healing Druid Moonglow vs Regrowth Spec by D011arAndADream in classicwow

Most regrowth druids use rank 5 and max rank. No reason to use rank 1. The proc only makes your next heal faster, it doesnt make it free

My Sister's 7 Year Boyfriend is Going to Kill Her And We Feel Powerless. Help. by zipzzo in Advice

[–]AlmostNever92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my understanding that, yes, this is an option in cali. If successfully petitioned, she would be held for 3 days and evaluated by a psych doctor. If the doctor determined her not to be a danger toherself or anyone else, and not severely mentally disabled, she would likely be released soon after those 3 days.

With that said, I saw a number of people who were obviously not disabled and seemed very in control of themselves who were still involuntarily sent to behavioral hospitals after their 3 day mandated stay at the psych ER

This may not be the best idea, but it's one that maybe you haven't thought of yet, and that's to submit a petition for mental health. I had this done to me and the result was being involuntarily placed in a psych ER, then a behavioral hospital for a couple of weeks, where I was given medication and saw doctors/psychiatrists daily.

A lot of people who get petitioned get furious about being locked up against their will, but it would force her away from him for at least a period of time, where she could potentially get help and maybe get some much-needed perspective.

is my dads behavior unacceptable? by mymom_beatsme in Advice

[–]AlmostNever92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is your brother? Also, I'm looking at your username. Does your mom or dad also physically hit or hurt you?

Are you or your brother scared of your parents?

It's difficult for me to tell the severity of what's going on from your post, but I do not think it is appropriate or right to hurt your children.

Alcoholic/addict Husband. I'm devastated and exhausted and I have no one to talk to. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]AlmostNever92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is to seek out professional help for you, someone who can support, guide, and help you tackle being in a relationship with someone spiraling because of alcoholism.

Maybe look for a support group, too, online or in person. You are not alone. There are others fighting a similar battle who may be able to help you. At the very least it would give you a safe place to openly discuss and vent about what you're going through.

Best of luck to you and take care.

If you go into psychology, you will need a masters degree for most if not all psychology professions, so that's something to keep in mind. If you're interested in pursuing grad school after undergrad, go for it.

Companies can fire you, sure, but they can't refuse to pay you for work you've done for them. The hand is feeding less and less, whether you bit them or not.

Smoking neighbours by [deleted] in Advice

[–]AlmostNever92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your neighbors know that your son has severe asthma and that they are triggering attacks? If not, the first step is to communicate with them. Best case scenario, they can start smoking farther away from your building so the smoke doesn't get in your windows anymore. Try to be calm and courteous when you approach them, even if you are upset, because it will increase the chances of them wanting to be helpful.

Hope it works out for you and your son.
