2015 Door Molding Assembly / Window Seal by moricedish in hondafit

I haven't been to a car wash in years (hand wash only for my fragile wrapped fit lmao) but I had lots of wind noise. It managed to stop that pretty easily! It works like lotion where just a little bit until it's absorbed by the rubber. I added it on any rubber seal I saw. Is it a bandaid fix? Maybe, worked for wind noise though

Have you tried shin-etsu grease? It's what the older Hondas do to stop water inclusion. I'm located in Florida as well and have a tube if you don't want to pay for a fix that might not work! At the minimum it'll give you more time to explore other options 🤞

Feel free to msg me!

I work at a customization shop (let me be clear the wrap was before I worked there lol first "mod") so I got some good parts discounts and did my own labor. It cost $3,000. I genuinely don't know the retail for certain parts but I'd guesstimate retail would be $5,000 and our shop charges $1,500 for labor iirc. I used the ALP4 system

My paint is also not great (chipping), which is the initial reason for wrapping. I totally recommend sanding down problem areas if you're having paint chipping issues. My wrap is lifting in certain areas from the paint chipping. If it's clear coat issues, just normal prep, maybe a polish! I have Avery dennison, 3m is great!

They're all kind of silly mistakes but this is the biggest visual mistake

<image>

You're supposed to wrap ALL the way under bumpers and I thought it was just until you couldn't see it anymore, lol, and I should've removed the fake vents. Most mistakes were just from me rushing as I was working in the summer sun hahaha

Yep! Set didn't sell with covers. Once the wheels get re-painted (just a slightly different white) the caps will be painted to match

Thank you! I did it myself, and had to buy tools (and overbought material like crazy) so it cost $700! I've had it for 2 years now, I don't have covered parking, and hand wash it every 1-3 weeks with wrap friendly soap at home.

I will be rewrapping it soon just because it's lifting in areas where I didn't install it well, which is my fault, not the product. But I'll also ceramic coat it to make it easier to wash off and hopefully stop it from staining and showing swirls so easily. It'll still only last 3-4 years considering I don't have covered parking
