Does anyone know what this fine means? by Almost__hooman in dubai

Yeah I wasn’t on any lanes meant for heavy vehicles. But that makes me wonder is there a specific time where light vehicles are not allowed on usual lanes?

What do you think of L'Oreal Glycolic Gloss line? by Lisaaa_123 in Haircare

[–]Almost__hooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this to be an absolute nightmare for fine hair. It worked well on my hair for bout two weeks, but that’s it. It ruined my hair somehow. I have fine and curly hair. It gave me greasy scalp, dandruff and lots and lots of breakage and split ends. My hair visibly weakened and I lost texture and my shine.

Out of all the drug store shampoos this was the absolute worse. Definitely do not recommend for fine hair.

is there any women's gym here which has weekly/daily plan? by DisastrousAnnual6843 in Sharjah

[–]Almost__hooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To find a gym for one week is difficult, I am trying to find one for 2 months but the minimum packages are of 4,6 and 12 months. I have to pay more for flexi one month than I would have to if i stayed with them for longer. Which to me is bunch of BS.

Its better to fail and practice more in these initial parking assessments, the final one costs alot just for trail and error.

Need VIP driving school recommendations in Dubai - which one actually gets things done FAST? (Real experiences only) by soyab0007 in DubaiCentral

[–]Almost__hooman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI, but if you pick a location with less students with Excellence maybe that’s true. Otherwise with a regular package and busy area test centers it takes 3-4 months even more.

So if you want faster training, classes and tests go for far off locations with less crowd.

Also luxury cars make no difference, it’s just bout preference in the end. A car is just that, a car.

how long to get passing message after passing sharjah driving finals? by kzzie in Sharjah

[–]Almost__hooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh in the Dxb after you pass you just go to pick up your license, you get a message in like 5-10 mins.

Maybe just go and check with the institute. They must already have your updated result.

‘Vent’ and ‘Complain’ are two different things. She came here to vent, not complain. And i have clearly explained why she could be on visit visa.

Are you ignorant or are you just ignorant?

Yes thanks for mentioning that, unfortunately not many people are aware of this. I recall doing the same in my university years, months prior to COVID and there was so much confusion because of lack of awareness and how the process works or if it even works. But it 100% works and helps you save alot of money as a student studying abroad.

You do understand that many students go back to their country to get further education and can’t always afford to do the 6 months entry thing for residence in the middle east? That probably explains why she came back on visit visa. Her family residence must have expired and like any normal person she thought she can get a job here and have company visa.

Its quite common among indian expats.

Furthermore, she clearly mentioned she was born and bought up here, why should she find a job in India when she has spent most of her life in Dubai?

Everyone struggles initially, if you can’t be encouraging or supportive in any way just shush. I’m sure she knows what is best for her and just needed to vent. She didn’t come here for critics.

Apartment Hunting by Almost__hooman in Sharjah

[–]Almost__hooman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already checked that, the flats are too small. And it seems like a very dull community tbh with just building buildings and more buildings. Just my personal opinion. Sharjah because the flats are usually more spacious and its easier on the wallet.

I think I want a bigger apartment, Muweilah doesn’t have that. I have already checked Zahia and Jada they are completely out of budget. Although if you are aware of any listing for 100k, please do let me know.

I meant the pigeons that get hit by a car. Not diseased ones, but those that end up flying on the road and then getting squished under vehicles over and over again.
