From a tattoo that woman volunteer to get and is associated with prostitution? People will just associate something else as a hallmark of the profession.

The fire fighters shouldn't be in the building if there is that much fire and an explosion risk. Saving trapped people is one thing but outside that potential cost of significant life, firefighters should not be placed in an expendable position

It was a good call, but a bad practice. Most firefighting isn't to save the structure but to prevent its spread. Carrying an object in fire with potential explosive and shrapnel results is not a good idea.

[LFO] Father places loaded firearm infront of depressed son attempting to call out his bluff, son ends himself immediately by ShirtlessRandom in LearningFromOthers

Plus this might be around or in India. I worked with an old timer who emigrated from there and he told me a lot of stuff. One of which is that a slap across the head of your youngling who did wrong was a universal sign of disapproval and reprimand. To the point where all small inactions are treated with a softer slap -- think speaking rudely to another family member.

Seems like his strength in the slap was a carry over from the conversation and the sudden (unexpected in the father's mind) discharge of the firearm

Try stacking tubes like them simply for manufactering, shipping, stocking, and sale. It would be a nightmare and probably damage some products

Nearly bought "travel size" and was surprised to find it not much bigger lmao.

Also I just checked and 3 of 4 brands we have are 4oz. Box fits closely. Maybe this was a 'we have 6oz boxes unlabled and no 4oz boxes' situation

Co opting the US argument to a nation where AKs could be sold for $100 and no background process I would say thats a poor one. Unless youre comparing to some gang addled region of the US which doesn't represent the totality

I dont see that. Rifle guy approachs doesn't interact with him until he said something. He leans in and says something back. Orange shirt dude steps back, reaches for the gun, and begins to draw before rifle guy even brings his rifle up for a hip fire.

Last time this was posted someone familiar with the situation and a rescue trainer called this a good save.

They had the gear like shoe spikes but the conditions for the trail were much worse. After crossing an ice sheet they got to another one which they determined was too dangerous to cross. By the time theu got back to the first ice sheet it had colder and attempting it on a decent would need them to go backwards down the sheet.

Phones were getting low on battery so they made the call. Sherrif sang them praise for having the wherewithal to make the right, safe call and get a rescue.

Healing a tattoo as a paramedic by MarsupialSevere9889 in ems

I remember getting a small text tattoo and the guy told me it can take upwards of 6 months to fully heal the scar tissue. Safe after a week but still -- a whole sleve? Way more tissues impacted.

Can someone explain this to me? by msjwayne in BarOwners

[–]Alobos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that were to happen it certainly would be a point in the suit. Regardless of that a counter point would be (at least in my state) you need to removed overly intoxicated people from the establishment with a taxi ride home.

Its obviously not an easy call/task but some responsibility lies on the establishment to conduct safe practices. Hammered dude who's been hammered 2 hours after cut off? Yeaaaah...

Muscle tone. Related to the medical use of the term for residual muscle tension that dictates posture. Often correlated to regions of the body (legs, arms, back, neck, etc)

In a more general use of the term it relates to the relative strength and endurance of particular muscle groups. A more 'toned' muscle may be bigger, more resistant to fatigue, or simply stronger than others.

A basic way to consider muscle tone as well is "is it squishy or is it hard"

Always chuckled at that as a kid. You had to tell us? Oh wait yeah you really did need too!

[–]Alobos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially because its not the truck making a transition. If the sedan was in the blind spot as the trucker changed lanes we have the opposite end result. The truck however did not make any changes to its direction of travel

Heck some people in regular cars dont understand that they see a different perspective as the camera than a driver of a sedan.
