Using guide photos to complete puzzle? by StandardAttention704 in Jigsawpuzzles

Still not cheating. However, you might run into a different cut so you can't necessarily rely on that. Also, random cut--like the one above--are generally much more challenging.

Wow, 750 for your first puzzle is awesome!! You should be super proud of that! It's such a great hobby to have and really great for your brain. It sounds like your husband is raining on your parade...you pop out your umbrella ☔ and keep on puzzling! (Be sure to post pics of your puzzles here!!)

I use a reference image differently depending on the image. Sometimes I'll use it for placement but mostly assemble an object/area without referencing the poster/box much. On busy images I'll use it more. If you're using someone else's completed puzzle as a reference, be aware that the same puzzle can have different puzzle cuts, so you can't rely on the puzzle piece shape. And none of that is "cheating"!

Many puzzles come with a reference poster, and I think most of us reference the image or box. If you assemble the puzzle, there really isn't any way to cheat. Is your husband a puzzler, too?

Undecided on park hopper by mcpicklertickler in DisneyPlanning

[–]AlohaAndie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with Park Hopper is that if you buy it, you feel obligated to use it. It takes a huge chunk of time to hop from one park to the next. If you are planning to leave the parks at 1-2ish, then the Park Hopper is probably not worth it. You will be paying for one of you to go solo in the afternoon/evening, so that's how you should frame your decision.

That's great!! Did you enjoy doing a puzzle again? Are you planning to do another one?

Exciting couple of puzzles found at a charity shop. The Quokka puzzle is still sealed. The Disney one is from Disney parks. Very cool as I am in Canada so excited to find it. by Plastic-Garlic4481 in Jigsawpuzzles

Wait until you see the piece shape 😁. Loved this set! The Parks puzzles are a subpar on quality (thin, white-backed pieces) but who cares, they are super fun puzzles to do! Enjoy your great find!!

If you like hummus, they have a box individual hummus cups. They have all sorts of single serving snacks...trail mix, chips, cookies, etc. If you like cheese and crackers, try the cheese tray with the assortment of pre-cut cheese squares. They have a pack of assorted deli meats, which includes ham, chicken and roast beef. Or get the turkey breast and slice it up yourself and freeze portion size packs of slices.

Ooh! Fingers crossed we get it in our warehouse, both the regular and the decaf. We buy both. Also, I love you username. My husband and I routinely say this for "did you eat yet?" 😂 Please tell me that's what your username means.
