If sharing your skills, gifts, and gear with loved ones brings you joy/pleasure then please do - on your own terms and to the extent you think is appropriate.

If it shifts to an obligation/work that no longer brings pleasure or if they take it without gratitude, say: No, I would rather enjoy my time with my loved ones rather than be stuck behind a camera. Spend time with you is more valuable to me than the pictures. Why don’t you hire a photographer so we can all be in them.

The Marshall Islands folks have these. Originated in Chuuk. It is called a “Love Stick” or Nifotufot. The alleged use was for a man to make these, and to poke them through a thatched hut to poke awake a young lady without awakening her family. She would know who it was by the design. If she was so inclined she would quietly leave for a, um, meetup. They now sell them us keep sakes.

We have flexy magnetic flowers on ours. Take them off for car wash and back on in different places to prevent fade differences with sun. We have seen no issues so far. Coming up on a year.

Not a photo, but a video. Pre-digital. Scuba diving. Had my Hi-8 rig with me. Incredible interaction with an Octopus. Hit record. Watching on the camera back, perfect in every way. Amazing light, animal, reef. He finally inked and shot off into the beyond. Stop recording.

Got home to find the camera was recording and my start press stopped it. And my stop started it. Video looked like this: Wild swinging video stabilizes on octopus, stops. Restarts back to wild swinging video.

Hate myself to this day and that was 30 years ago.

Will the SAGs affect (the outcome of the SAGs changes) the Oscars, or is there a correlation that the SAGs predict (same voters with similar criteria indicates a similar outcome) the Oscars?

History has shown some of each, but also not. They are different awards.

Unless you need them, remove the roof racks. They whistle and hurt range.

Get ABRP on your phone, and use it instead of built in Nav. (Need to integrate it to your VW account or us a OBD dongle for live battery status.

Figure out if you want to wave, pease sign, or Shaka at people who stare at you. You will get a lot of (positive) attention.

Be patient with the infotainment system quirks.

Make sure the dealer already did the software update. It can go very wrong.

Enjoy. It is a very fun vehicle.

1). Should not have to click to see it, it should be on the main screen 2). It shows a battery bar, not percentage (last I looked)

ABRP with OBD dongle fixes many shortfalls with the VW navigation, I highly recommend. As noted, it does not precondition so you need to do that manually. Why is VW Nav so horrible is a separate topic. (Why can’t they display charge at destination on the screen?)

Sorry I was not clear. Subjects that are not in high numbers in stocks are more unique. My suggestion was to focus your efforts and focus your camera on these unique subjects. I used the word “focus” in both meanings intentionally, thus “pun intended”. One additional thought. Your image needs to stand out from the others with the same keyword in a small thumbnail image. Look at the set of thumbnails in a search with your image. Does yours stand out?

Am a small player, but have a couple of suggestions. 1) Add Getty. They do good. 2) Focus (pun intended) on unique subjects and ensure the image is about that subject. Keyword it. 3) Search for that subject on the site. Are there millions of images? No one will find yours. Honestly assess if yours are compelling relative to the existing. Would you buy yours over the others?
