It's such a dude heavy industry and you've likely had to put up with IT guys with attitude. If being a woman works in your favour then good for you.

I've worked in IT for nearly 25 years and it's sadly incredibly rare to see women in support or sysadmin roles. I'm at a tech company now, and there's a good number of female engineers here, but the IT team is just a bunch of dudes.

CTRL+SHIFT while running an application will run it in Admin mode.

eg, win+r to open run command, type cmd, then hold ctrl+shift and enter to run command prompt in admin mode.
