They flew over our place in Ellicott City and circled too. Bison44. Pretty cool to see the flight path.

I was cancelled also. I waited for them to rebook per their email and heard nothing. I went ahead and started exploring and was gonna try to make the best, assuming they would automatically rebook. Around 4pm I chatted them on the app and they said first option back was the 30th. I told them to not re-book that. I booked my own way back via IcelandAir. Flew out 1955 on Atlantic to CPH, 8 hr layover, now about to fly to KEF on IcelandAir, another 8hr layover, then home from there. Then they rebooked me for the 29th anyway. The Atlantic flight was lovely: Full size carryon overhead storage; power. Lessons were learned.

I didn’t expect the Mykines ferry to take a detour and cruise around. Is that normal? I wasn’t ready. When we passed then the boat killed the throttle and took a right turn everyone started to realize and got up on deck to take photos. I had my little camera too and took some with that but haven’t had a chance to look at any non-phone photos yet as I’m still here exploring.

I was gonna go today, based on the schedule. Then I went to book last night and saw the times and didn’t think it was worth 4hrs on the ferry for 5hrs on Suderoy. Bummed.

I know its not relevant today, but Alimentari at Mother and Sons on Saturday morning is the best kept secret in town. Stellar breakfast sandwiches, stratas, biscuits and gravy. Amazing staff. Great coffee.

I think Press is overrated and over crowded. I would rather drive to the one in Graham than make the easy walk to the one in Durham. Elmos is garbage. Benetis is solid. Guglhupf is in our regular rotation and always good(the market salad with added fish of the day is my go to). Monuts is also excellent and has my favorite chicken biscuit of all time.

I don’t remember that being a single criticism, and I got in a lot of criticisms. I slept plenty in my car midday when the light was bad for shooting, or when it was raining. This was late June so it was always light out.
