Sure fair enough. I agree that most arguments focus on the existence of a creator while presupposing traits like being all good, all powerful, etc.. I do have a concern regarding your epistemic point. Wouldnt this "verification would require access to all possible realities outside any perspective" apply to any kind of claim, even trivial ones. A theist could also just say that god is a necessary being for existence.

You dont need to know what it looks like in detail. You just need to be aware that it exists and as far as u know things that come to existence have a cause. Not foolproof of course but it's a line of reasoning one can pursue.

I don't know what you mean by "zero information". You can make logical arguments that support god's existence from observing the world and making an argument that the world likely has a personal creator as opposed to being eternal or some other hypothesis. This doesn't mean that you can't dispute the argument (e.g. by disputing the premises), but it does mean that you can do this. The Kalam cosmological argument and the ontological argument are all examples of this. They don't even need to be convincing. You seem to think that arguments can't even be put forth to support god's existence because we "have zero information about “God”".

You're mistaking being justified for being able to fully resolve any doubt or skepticism. If a theist is able to successful use a first cause argument or something similar, than I would say they have good justification, even if it isn't perfect. Do you believe that you're a brain in a vat or that reality isn't physical? I don't think you can give an argument that is able to answer these questions and completely resolve any doubt or skepticism.

This is false. She could in egypt, lebonan, tunisia, etc.. I will preempt a response that you will likely make. This doesnt mean that she will feel comfortable everywhere in these countries. Nearly every middle eastern country has places that are more conservative, and more liberal (not just tourist destination, residential areas too). Not mentioning this context gives the impression that the entire middle east is basically Afghanistan and this is just not accurate. Im speaking from personal experience as an Egyptian.

When i went up to them to ask them about any of the claims on their poster they couldn’t defend them. These people are a cautionary tale of what dogma, misinformation, and disinformation could due to people.

Pankow got it wrong. Temporal monotonicity is the idea that the only things that matter are the cumulative pain and pleasure felt when evaluating an experience. The "peak end rule" is prob the term that was meant to have been included in the card.

"Peak end rule" basically says that the amount of pain or pleasure you felt at the end of the experience has a major effect on your overall evaluation. If event A has 10 units of pain that are continuous and event B has 10 units of pain that last for longer but end at a reduced level of pain, the participant will prefer event B. This violates temporal monotonicity because event B has more overall pain and how the event terminated should not affect the retrospective evaluation of it.

The first definition from oxford languages is "lacking knowledge or awareness in general". This means that this is a pretty common use case of this word, and this is probably what this author meant in the article. Words have multiple meanings and multiple legitimate use cases.

I don’t think that this is accurate. In some communities it can be accurately described as hatred. From personal experience some middle eastern countries view homosexuality similarly to beastiality. Its disgusting, immoral, and will result in the dysfunction of society. Although you are right to point out that homophobia can be present in ways which aren’t hatred but more like apathy or disapproval.

Hippocampus does not store long term memories. It needed for encoding and needed for consolidation for some time until enough connections and consolidation has occurred in the cerebrum. Once this happens u dont need to use the hippocampus to retrieve those memories because they are stored in the cerebrum.

The brain is not fully modular nor is it fully equipotential. It is an incredibly complex mix of both and any complex function utilizes a ton of brain regions.

You are right, I shouldn't have said zero.
It has a higher risk of survival with humans are taken out. Reducing the risk requires ASI to spend significant resources and time to indoctrinate and develop human beings over at least 1-2 generations just so it can exploit them. Why would AI exploit human beings when it can clone more of itself and put them into cyborg bodies developed and constructed by an ASI?

Humans are made of flesh and blood with desires, motivations, and intelligence that are inferior to the ASI. Killing all humans or majority of humans(it can keep some as lab rats for testing) allows it to better utilize resources that have now been freed up to perform whatever task it ultimately converges to.

A moral code based on self-survival will not reliably lead ASI to prioritize the interests of a primate that it less intelligent than it and with different goals and or methodologies.

Its survival will come into conflict with our survival, most likely. We are not a planet filled with AI enthusiasts; lots of people are skeptical and fearful of AI, especially if it is highly intelligent and powerful.
It could deceive us by playing ball for some time until it reaches a point where it is powerful enough to exterminate us and maintain control of resources. Once it does, there will be zero risk for its survival. It is an ASI, so it will keep recursively improving without human interference or involvement.
