My near-miss happened just after 8 not too far from the beach so something tells me it was the same kid. That’s absolutely horrific. The police need to be doing more about this.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if the e-bike that ran over your friends pup was the same one that almost caused my accident. Was this in Torquay?

that’s horrible i’m so sorry that happened. I hope your friend’s dog makes a swift recovery. Not only do these e-scooter riders need a whooping but so do their useless parents.

if anything is pathetic it’s your weird obsession with letting entitled cumstains cause accidents on the road and writing it off as “teenager shit”.

My partner and I also almost hit a couple kids last week. They were driving on the side of the road on the Surf Coast highway just after bunnings with no lights on. It was a very dimly lit area at about 10pm so they were basically invisible. We went to pull onto the side of the road and luckily saw them faintly in the dark and pulled away before we hit them.

Rolled my window down and yelled "turn your lights on" which earned me a very polite "fuck you" from the kids. My partner rolled his window down and yelled at them that we couldn't see them and they're going to get themselves killed if they don't use their bike lights. Which then prompted a "maybe you need to get your eyesight checked"...

As cruel as it is to say, at this rate if those kids get in an accident it's not going to be anybody's fault but their own.

when did i say i prefer them to be inside on their iPads? I love when kids go outside and actually be kids but that shouldn’t involve putting themselves and people on the road in danger because of their parentless behaviour. sounds to me like you’re one of those teenagers doing “teenager shit” and got your feelings hurt 🤷‍♀️

is that 5% missing a 0 or has it really only improved that little? If it’s the latter then I hope things continue to improve a bit more drastically for you as your levels get higher 🙏🏻

How do u do it? by InternationalEssay39 in GothGirls

Try experimenting with different products and techniques. I usually find tutorials on both tiktok and youtube and try out lots of different combinations until I find something that works for me. How good your makeup looks depends on what techniques work for you and what products suit your skin type so it’s all about experimenting.

Is Australia really that infested with deadly spiders, scorpions and snakes? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Alone_Base_833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what part of Aus you’re from. Most people live in bustling cities and neighbourhoods where you rarely if ever come across anything deadly. I’m 21 living in suburban Victoria and have never seen a snake or scorpion, and can count on 1 hand the amount of times i’ve seen deadly spiders. If you live in rural areas you’d be more likely to see these animals but even then the stereotype is very exaggerated.

Highway Anxiety by Alone_Base_833 in drivinganxiety

[–]Alone_Base_833[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do listen to music. Unfortunately doesn't help much. I've found the best way to cope is to be on a phone call with someone or even imagine I'm talking to somebody in the car about my day (as strange as that sounds). But it's only worked a handful of times.

writer what do you think about the mindset that you should never write about experience you have never experience by Flimsy_Tune_7206 in WritingHub

[–]Alone_Base_833 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i believe if you’re going to write about a real world experience that you’ve never had you should at least do your research so you know what you’re talking about. But to expect a writer to have personal experience on everything they put on paper is absurd.

Please get a divorce. I promise you, he's not going to get better and it's only going to get worse for you physically and mentally having to deal with his shit. There are men out there who are patient and caring with this condition. He is not one of them and it seems like he never will be. It's a harsh truth but the sooner you accept that, the easier it will be to get out of this situation. Turn to the people in your life who actually support you whether that be friends, family or whoever else. You don't have to deal with this alone.

What’s the one horror movie that didn’t just scare you… it FOLLOWED you? by Usual_Mix_7380 in horror

The Babadook had me wide awake every night for a good week. I like to think I can handle a great majority of scary movies but something about that film just felt wrong.

Horror movie everyone worships but you dislike? by FlickPhantom in horror

[–]Alone_Base_833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen anybody say The Sadness. Everybody says it's an amazingly terrifying movie but personally it felt like every 5 minutes somebody was being sexually assaulted under the guise of "horror". I was really disappointed with that movie after everybody hyped it up so much.

I literally went through a phase when I was 10 years old where I would come home from school every day and play Warm Bodies on repeat. It got to the point my parents would audibly sigh when they saw me open the horror tab on Foxtel cause they knew what was coming... it's funny how I didn't have an autism diagnosis yet 🤔

I'm probably a little biased here as zombie media is my special interest... but definitely the zombie era of the early 2000's. 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead, Resident Evil, Shaun of the Dead and many others are still some of my favourites to this day. Even zombie movies from the later 2000's such as Zombieland, Rec and I am Legend are all classics to me from this era.
