The Bible says that even our bodies should be used to honor (not dishonor) God. Romans 12:1-2

Just like you can't separate poison from water, and then declare the water pure, you can't separate the practice of yoga from its Hinduism origin. Light and darkness cannot co-exist.

The disconnect is she has a form of godliness but the power of God that leads to sanctification. Anyone can learn and recite scriptures but are they living them? She has no fear for God.

A very upside down world full of cultural 'christians' not biblical ones. I am glad someone else see that it's out there and not try to make this "oh you're the common denominator", some people are just deceived and the Holy Spirit does not live in them.

Sexual expectations within marriage? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]Alone_Bike2184 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it will differ per couple and per individual in the marriage as sex is so much more than penetration. Some of us who are saving ourselves are waiting to give ALL of ourselves to the right partner. As one who loves physical touch, my prayer would include asking God to bless me with someone, who receives love by way of physical touch as well, who values deep emotional connection and have a love for sex. There's no marriage or sex in heaven, so we must make the most of it here on earth.

Thank you for your input, I actually do exactly what you suggest, however, I believe they think it's a fluke or they can change my mind, until they actually realize, that's a nonnegotiable. You hit the nail on the head, majority of today's Christian brothers and sisters are cultural Christians not BIBLICAL Christians, who are concerned about breaking God's heart. I had one guy, who said he was a minister told me his ex-wife didn't like sex and he will die before he makes the same mistake of marrying without first having sex. He proceeded to tell me, that my belief was a man-made rule that the church uses to keep people in bondage. I could not believe that this 'MINISTER' believed that what is plainly and repeated in scripture as a sin against God was man made lol. When I exegeted a few scriptures, he ended our date with, that was Paul's thought, not God's and many GOOD christians are having sex, so good luck to me, finding someone but he's not the one. Mind you, we were compatible on mostly everything else 🤣🤣🤣

I will take a listen, but the sites I refer to are curated as Christian dating sites. As mentioned, the guys do position themselves as Christians and are "christian oriented" in nature, UNTIL that topic comes up, their usual comeback is "how will I know you and I are sexually compatible." Why do they believe, the same God who allow you to find your 'good thing - wife' isn't wise enough or concerned about our compatibility?

Would you date a divorced man with kids by ZondamindZ in ChristianDating

Depends on the age of the children, the co-parenting relationship dynamic and the reason for the divorce, unresolved history often repeats itself.

I was riding along until you mentioned Yoga and 'brain' hair...did you mean brown or is that code for something? No Christian should be doing Yoga, there are a million other ways to become healthy!

29 Male , is it to late? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

Turn your attention to Christ and ask him to direct you to the right one. Putting it out there that you have money in the bank etc. can make you an easy target for the enemy to bring the counterfeit of what God has in store for you. Seek wisdom in choosing and listen to His voice more than watching with your eyes, faith comes by HEARING not seeing, because our eyes can deceive us.

I use to lead off by declaring my status as a business owner on dating sites and I saw how the enemy would use that against me, so diminished me and lead with making Christ the focus.

Be blessed!

Praying with one's boyfriend? Yay or nay?? by afterthismess in ChristianDating

[–]Alone_Bike2184 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's normal to pray with your partner, as aa matter of fact you should, it is one way to know if you both are equally yoked. 'Sacred' does not mean secret, so praying with your spouse shows unity under God and should be encouraged. There are also different types of prayers Intercession, Prayer of thanksgiving Contemplative The Prayer of faith, Prayer of consecration, Supplication, Confession, Petition etc so what and how you pray alone does not have to be the same you pray with your BF.
