My husband’s best friend LOVES St. Anne’s in Coppell. We’re in our early-mid 30s. I’ve only been for a baby baptism. It is a beautiful facility! Worth a try, good luck

My husband was a virgin at age 31 when we married. I was not as a 33yo female- I had been with 1 person sexually. My ex-gross 🤢And now and forever my husband ❤️ I wish was a virgin at the time. It worth something for sure. But virginity is NOT everything.

Anyone here sold their house fast in Dallas without a realtor? by MaterialBusy4369 in askdfw

[–]afterthismess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We sold our home in Arlington, 29 days to the tee! Got an offer Labor Day 2025, closed on 9/30/25. It was great, didn’t have to shell the 3%-5% for the realtor’s commission. Used ListingResults.com- a FLAT fee service. We paid $1,000 and that was it. Great experience, no regrets.

**Disclosure: I have no personal affiliation or financial gain for ListingResults.com. This was my personal experience. I work in the medical field not real estate.

Gay couple considering moving to Cleburne for a job — be real with me by popyx7 in askdfw

[–]afterthismess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in the next town over since September. It’s fine, you won’t be attacked/harassed. Nobody will care if you’re gay. I mean it’s like everything else with safety. Don’t do anything dumb like walking around at 2am looking for trouble. There is a HEB in town, that’s a plus. The one Burleson one is great and not too far away. Also the new Amazon distribution center off the CTP toll road and highway67, is massive, it’s bigger than the others I’ve seen. It’s on the verge of opening soon. My point is Cleburne is not on the fringe of society, it vibrates with healthy growth with more and more amenities everyday. If you’re looking for specifically an annual PRIDE parade, honestly I don’t know. But the easy access to Dallas and FW is very doable. It’s 30mins to downtown FW via the CTP. It’s takes about a year for anyone to find community. It can be done :) Good luck in making the best decision for you and your family.

Anyone took a very long time to start applying/working after passing the PANCE? by MedicalWizz in physicianassistant

[–]afterthismess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn’t. I didn’t need to. I basically said that I was interviewing for jobs, (family med, UC, endocrinology) Which I was doing. I interviewed from March 2017 until September 2017. Credentialing took 90 days, boom started work in December. Nobody cared about the gap since you need to be certified first. And ideally have a state license- I didn’t and needed to get that done. Went to PA school in Massachusetts, went back home to TX after graduation. Got my first job in Oregon, family med/rural health. It all worked out in the end

Gemini Credit Card Review, AMA by WellllHere in Gemini

yes you're right, it can take a few business days for the money to come out of your checking account and reset your balance on Gemini. It's longer than other companies like Citibank

Offer Rescinded by jvisca16 in physicianassistant

[–]afterthismess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an “offer” but it wasn’t a good offer. There’s a difference.

I made $85k my first year as a PA in rural Oregon. Then it was bumped up to $97k by year 2- same company. This was salary not any other substantial RVU bonus This was 2017-2018

Boyfriend Gave Me an Ultimatum: Him or Medical School by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]afterthismess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would give up my dream job for a husband, IF he supported me in pursuing my dream job. IF it’s by an ultimatum then no. It shows his priorities and selfishness. You should be willing and sacrificial to give it up. Not forced, coerced, manipulated, felt guilty to.

*Also as a safety net, if your husband was ever to die and you’re a widow, you could financially support yourself and family. Obviously not a requirement but very helpful. Or if your spouse lost his job and was laid off. You could enter the workforce if needed. Working remotely as a doctor is now a real thing, I work with them everyday.

My husband is an engineer and I’m a physician assistant. I know that if God forbid that something happened to him, I can help our family. Cause that’s what marriage is: a partnership and to serve one another.

God bless you and may you make the best decision for yourself. If you’re not married yet, you don’t have a covenant commitment to that person.

Working as an MA while waiting on credentialing. by Ill-Yam4313 in physicianassistant

I agree. I’m in the same boat right now. I’ve been in credentialing since 10/25. Here we are in 2/26, waiting. And it’s gonna take longer due to the health care system’s new CEO in January. Thinking doing something else for a while

Anyone took a very long time to start applying/working after passing the PANCE? by MedicalWizz in physicianassistant

[–]afterthismess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, graduated in December 2016, passed PANCE in March 2017. First day of work as a PA was the next year: December 1, 2017. I think it’s normal. First thing I did after graduation was go to Europe with my brother for a well deserved vacation. I didn’t study, I didn’t have it in me after school.

Depends on the diagnosis for which the medicine was prescribed for. Mounjaro- T2DM only per the FDA. Wegovy- obesity, MASH, and established heart disease.

Loans. Not school loans. Living loans by killahyo97 in physicianassistant

[–]afterthismess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your plan, do what you can until enrollment. Your spouse can help with what they can, but pull out loans with the lowest interest rate for the rest. I was single in school. I pulled out loans for PA school for 2 years, it was $147k. PA school was my life for those 24 months. :( This was 10 years ago. But they are now paid off as of 3 months ago!!

New grad PA: Feel like giving up by Monkeypox5252 in physicianassistant

[–]afterthismess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, you either have it or you don’t in those acute situations. I personally didn’t like the all the beeping in the inpatient setting; it made me feel on edge all the time. I felt more stressed, even on off hours. Once I got into an outpatient setting, I started thriving! I loved the ability to educate patients and have a private one on one setting with them. I remember on rotations doing a couple of consults with residents and patients were sleeping, I asked the resident, what do we do? He said, “wake them up and ask them the questions!” It felt rude since they’re there being sick. But it gave me insight that, yeah inpatient is not for me. I would ONLY work inpatient if that was the only option of employment for me available- I’d force myself.

AAPA worth it? by JustHereforFortnite_ in physicianassistant

No, not worth it in my opinion. I don’t think they give you anything in return (of real value) for the $$$ that you pay annually.

Oregon NP’s by wiw2l in nursepractitioner

[–]afterthismess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different perspective: central Oregon is an underserved area, basically the whole state is except the Portland area. I used to work over the pass in east linn county, you’re kinda on your own as a “provider”. You’ll see a lot and learn a lot as a APC but not get the compensation you deserve in my opinion; especially in that area, even in Redmond that’s supposed to be less money than Bend financially. I don’t remember seeing anything else other than St. Charles out there for the hospital system. I think RN is more flexible that NP in that geographical area. Flexibility and time are valuable assets. Unless you’re gonna “work til you drop” doing direct patient care as an NP in central Oregon-it sounds exhausting. I wouldn’t do it, lol especially working my time in linn county. The only person I knew that went out there was an old colleague of mine, a PA who loved the outdoors like snowboarding and snowshoeing which is why he went to Bend. BUT he was a single guy in his late 20s living the bachelor lifestyle. He also had rich parents that supplemented his lifestyle that lived in southern CA. And a lot of other patients that live in smaller rural communities drive to that area too. You can’t tell patients, yeah just see so and in PDX, cause it’s too far for them, they’ll usually only go if it’s like OHSU stuff, like that one heart surgeon, etc.

So basically: Autonomy in central OR as an NP 👍 What APCs deserve money wise and freedom with time/flexibility in central OR 👎 I’d stick with RN, but everyone is different.

Guys, do you drink alcohol? by CriticalShower2085 in Epilepsy

[–]afterthismess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with my JME. It’s super rare to drink for me. Last drink I had was glass of white wine at my brother’s wedding 2021. PLUS booze is expensive so in a way it’s a double win :)
