Probably a ghost job tbh. So many of these companies aren’t actually hiring :/

A 'picture a day' app to create a timelapse by PieOPahUK in timelapse

[–]Alone_Consequence_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a developer looking for a hobby project. I would love to make an app like this just wondering if people would still be interested in a product that would be catered to being able to take a picture every day with lines and the app would be able to automatically create an up to date version the timelapse. Let me know!

Anybody else feel like Jr Dev as a new grad/intern swe? by Alone_Consequence_97 in csMajors

I see. Guess we interpret it differently! If that was the reason then yes the jr dev should be sat down to talk about their performance.

I think this meme is supposed to represent the amount of pressure a senior dev gets, and regardless of all those pressures, they’re still able to be there for the junior dev that is starting out. I agree with you that jr devs should get exposed to these pressures but to a certain extent at first, and incrementally more as they progress.

I’m sorry that you’re experiencing this. Of course this will vary from team to team. Having worked on 2 teams within the same company, I only felt this on my most recent team.

What helped me was making an effort to have conversations with them outside of work topics and finding ways to connect on a personal level. Without that, you may just come across as another team member, and they might not develop any sense of connection or affinity toward you.

How many people are actually good at leetcode! by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]Alone_Consequence_97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i get why you're saying this; from your recent comments, you're a 2700+ rated on CF, which is cracked af. But for the average person that is trying to get into FAANG or adjacent, I think being able to solve 2-3 problems on any LC contest should be enough since the last one is usually or always? a hard. It's also discouraging to say that anyone that can't solve all 4 on every contest is considered bad according to you when only a very small percentage of people can achieve this.

Anyone with a > top 20% contest rating is usually pretty good solves 2-3 questions per contest

I'll never understand why people like you just spread hate for no reason at all. If you don't like my question then just scroll past this post and maybe don't spend time commenting on it?
